The Weston Red Barn Farm opened for the first time in 1990, and is currently run as a family business by Stephen and Cindy Frey. This is an educational attraction for children of all ages.

They offer a variety of apples in their orchard for picking, and a pumpkin patch as well, for the Halloween season. Your family can enjoy the adventure of finding its way through the 25-acre corn maze. In 2004, the corn maze was in the shape of the presidential seal, and read "Vote 2004".

During the season, feel free to take a ride on the Draft-Horse Drawn Hayride. This is a 20-30 minute educational journey through the woods.

After finishing up outside, you can wander into the barnyard to get a look at the different farm animals. Be prepared to see donkeys, sheep, cows, chickens, pigs and draft horses. This can give your child the "farm" atmosphere and see what life is like, living on a farm.

There are two country gift stores that are available with a variety of options for you. The first country store sells fresh produce, such as peaches, apples and sweet corn. You can also find gourmet foods, pottery, jams and canned items. Their candy section is full of old-fashioned candy that will remind you of the your own childhood. The second country store is open in September and October, and offer pumpkins, gourds and fall decorations for your home.

The Weston Red Barn Farm also offers school tours from the middle of April through the middle of November. These tours will give children a chance to see the farm animals and enjoy a hayride. For the adults, they offer a place to hold your wedding and reception, picnics, hayrides and bonfire parties.

Today the farm serves important additional purposes in education and enjoyment. Every year, thousands of school children from the KC metro area come to the farm to enjoy an educational school tour and learn about the farm and the animals. This is a definite "must-see".
