You can give these Fall leaf candle votives as fun fall house warming gift or keep them for your Thanksgiving dinner table.

To Make These Fall Leaf Candle Votives You Will Need:

Fall leaves

Wax

Candles

Beeswax sheets

Glass candle votives

Sauce pan

Stove burner

The first step is to collect a variety of fall leaves form the yard. Wash any dirt off of them and lay them out to dry.

Now, while the leaves are drying you can be melting some wax in a double boiler on the stove top.

Once the wax is melted, then dip a leaf in the wax to coat it. Let excess wax drip off.

Before the wax is dry you want to press the leaf into the side fo the candle or candle votive.

The candle votive can be made from a sheet of beeswax, a glass votive, and existing side of a pillar candle, or even on a plate you want to make an arrangement of pillar candles on.

If you are using a sheet of beeswax, then be sure to press the waxy leaf firmly into the sheet of beeswax. You want to mimic the texture on the surface of the beeswax.

If not, then make sure there is a thick coat of wax on the leaf, you can double dip if needed, and then lay it on the beeswax.

If you are using a glass candle votive to make this Fall leaf votive, then one dip in the wax will be enough.

IN all cases it is best to always be present when burning a candle. If you are worried about the fire hazard a wax coated leaf could be, then make this craft project on the outside of a glass candle votive, This way no flame will ever come in contact with the waxed leaf.

If you want to use the beeswax, then cu tout a sheet fo beeswax that will wrap around yoru glass candle votive. Add the leaf as described before to the fall Candle votive.

Now, heat the beeswax sheet with a hairdryer and gently fold it into a cylinder to wrap around the glass votive.

Set the glass votive in the beeswax fall leaf votive and add a small candle inside.
