Leaf Rubbings With a Twist

10 -12 fall leaves of your choice
2 8 1/2 X14" sheets of white paper
1 box of crayons (paper around each crayon should be removed)
1 package of various colors of glitter glue
Fall themed stickers (i.e. pumpkins, scarecrows, corn, etc.)

Take the leaves and place them between the two pieces of paper. Hold top piece of paper in place as you take crayons and run them back and forth across the areas of the paper under which lay the leaves.

Once you have completed the leaf rubbings on this one side, carefully hold the ends of the two papers together and turn over to the second paper that was on the bottom and is blank. Repeat this rubbing process with the crayon on this paper.

Once you have completed this rubbing process on both pieces of paper, remove the leaves from between the two pieces of paper. Take the glitter glue tube of your choice, and outline the leaf rubbings with glitter glue. You may use different colors of glitter glue for each of the leaf rubbings depending on your preference.

Complete your masterpiece by placing fall-themed stickers on or around the leaf rubbings. This craft can be framed and given as a gift or makes a lovely display on the refrigerator.

Fall Leaf Note Cards

4-5 fall leaves of your choice (you can use more if you want to have a variety)
1 package of note-sized card stock (preferably prefolded)
1 package of note-sized envelopes
8 oz. bottles of tempera paint (you choose what colors)
Paintbrushes (make sure you have enough to have at least one for each color of paint)

Take a leaf and paint one side of it with the color of your choice. Take the leaf while the paint is wet, and press it onto the card stock (make sure that you have unfolded the card stock to its full length). It does not matter at what angle or whether the leaf is pointing up or down - it is completely up to you as to how you would like for it to look on the card stock.

Repeat this process with another leaf (paint and press). Once you have completed one side of the card stock, allow it to dry, and then repeat the paint and press process on the other side.

Do this procedure on as many pieces of card stock as you would like. Since each leaf has two sides, you can use another color on the other side of the leaf if you would like.

To make a lovely appearance for the envelopes, perform the same paint and press process on them as you did with the card stock.

Now, you have a beautiful and unique set of fall stationery to use to write notes to family and friends.
