On Tuesday, October 2nd at 8:30pm/7c, ABC will be premiering a half hour comedy series entitled "Carpoolers". In May of this year, ABC ordered thirteen episodes of this show. Let's see what viewers will have to look forward to with "Carpoolers".

This half hour comedy revolves around the lives of four men who carpool together to work. Here they share freely with whatever is on their minds whether it be work or women, in the safe confines of the car.

There's Laird, the dentist who likes to think that he has a way with women will find himself single quite soon due to a divorce he's going through. Then we have Gracen who enjoys solving people's problems, so much so he's chosen it as a career. Dougie has just recently gotten married. He's completely new to this whole carpool thing and needs guidance from the other men. Finally there is Aubrey. He is a gentle man who works hard to provide for his family. Under all that calmness though, there must be something brewing underneath. Together they bond and learn to depend on each other for life's ups and downs.

"Carpoolers" stars Faith Ford, Fred Goss ("Sons & Daughters"), T.J. Miller, Jerry O'Connell, Allison Munn ("That '70s Show" and "What I Like About You"), Jerry Minor ("Lucky Louie" and "Saturday Night Live") and Tim Peper ("The Guiding Light"). "Carpoolers" is executive produced by Justin Falvey ("Las Vegas"), Darryl Frank ("Las Vegas"), Bruce McCulloch, David Miner ("30 Rock") and Marsh McCall.

What kind of shot does the comedy "Carpoolers" have? ABC placed them after the dreaded "Cavemen" and it is going against returning shows on all 4 other networks. I like the premise of the series, it's from a man's point of view. It sounds similar to ABC's other new series, "Big Shots" though that one looks to be a little edgier. ABC had some promos on their website about "Carpoolers" and I enjoyed them. I thought they were funny. I did read a few bad reviews on this series about the pilot but I'd probably give this series a shot. It's up against stiff competition so they'd have to pull in viewers and keep them there which might be difficult for ABC to do. It depends a lot on the writing and the comedy has to be good. If people turn off the television though for "Cavemen", they probably won't stay tuned for "Carpoolers" so we'll see what happens. "Carpoolers" will premiere on Tuesday, October 2nd at 8:30pm/7c on ABC.
