Fall TV: Friday's Nights ABC's Premiere Preview...Womans Murder Club

James Patterson's Popular Novels About Women and Crime Detection in San Francisco, Now a Television Crime Drama

Suddenly Friday night on TV has become very interesting. I've been a fan of the show las_vegas since it first when on the air but nothing else was a must see on Friday's ...We would usually rent a movie and pop some corn and do the DVD thing, but this new TV season ,so far ,has kept me very busy and my movies are sitting on my TV table

The newest show to the Friday night line-up starts this week Friday, Oct 12th on ABC, with the Premiere of Women's Murder Club, another legal mystery drama which takes place in San Francisco so you know the scenery and locations will most likely be quite lovely and exciting at the same time.

The show is based on a series of very popular novels written by James Patterson, the wildly popular author of detective stories and excellent who-done-its, which are rapid fire page turners for those anxious to find out the next twist in the stories...That is the hope of the producers of Woman's Murder Club, that it will leave the watchers excited and wanting more....James Patterson just so happens to be one of the Executive Producers as well so I will bet he will be on hand to make sure that his books translate well onto television. At least you would think so, wouldn't you? I hope so.

The biggest twist is that the show revolves around four women who are good friends and, in one way or another, have to deal with crime on a daily basis ...they get together in some weird places to gossip over drinks or a meal, it could be in a bar or might even be in the morgue, to discuss the crimes and, eventually, solve them...of course, in one way or another they get involved with the stories of the other cast members. They each have distinctly different personal lives but working together, using their unique talents and knowledge while solving the crimes, lead to many answers they wouldn't have found on their own.

These are hardworking women with important jobs: A San Francisco Homicide detective, Inspector Boxer, (Angie Harmon), a crime reporter, Cindy, (Aubrey Dollar), Medical examiner, Claire, ( Paula Newsome), and Asst. District Attorney, Jill, ( Laura Harris)...one minute they can be talking about the case they are investigating, the next, some little personal nitpicking about something to do with the poor unfortunate victim... This show has been compared to Sex and the City with badges...

I know Womens Murder Club has peaked my interest and I will be watching the premier show this Friday night, October 12th at 9 P.M. on ABC while I tape my other new show of interest , moonlight , yes, there is going to be a Friday Night Battle in my house until I decide which one will win out..

Cast:

Angie Harmon: Lt. Lindsay Boxer
Paula Newsome: Clair Thomas
Aubrey Dollar: Cindy Thomas
Tyress Allen: Warren Jacobi
Laura Harris: Jill Bernhardt
Rob Estes: Tom Hogan

I love the Womens Murder Club, I love James Patterson books as well.
Even though the story line does not quite follow his books and characters
in his books. I still love a good murder mystery. I hope we will see another season.
This season was to short :o(.
    Thank you 1

Even an SF location isn't enough to get me to watch anything except football on commercial tv!
