Wedding Centerpieces for a Fall Wedding

Chad R. Herman
A fall wedding is the most magical wedding during the most magical time of year. Autumn, or fall, is the time of change and rebirth. This is a time that nature is going through a magical change, and you are going through that change right along with her. Your wedding should mirror or mimic this beautiful time. Not only should your wedding be just as symbolic as this time of year, it should be just as momentous. However, most brides and grooms are so caught up with the big thing like the limo, the place to get married, the cake, the guests, and the invitations they forget about the little things, which can make or break the entire day for you and your guests. One of these little things is the fall wedding centerpiece.

Since this is such a picturesque time of year, the most ideal fall wedding centerpiece is a stack of cameras put in the fashion of a tree sitting on a bed of autumnal red, orange, and yellow leaves. If you are fortunate enough to get real autumn leaves, that's even better, but the silk variety hold their color longer. You can either buy the throw away cameras or if you have enough money buy a number of digital cameras. Each person who picks up these cameras will give you another view of your special day that you never would have seen. These cameras will even capture candid moments at the specific tables; a joy that is not realized till months after the day. The photographer is interested only in the bride and groom, whereas the guests could snap a few pictures that truly point out the fall foliage backdrop in the wedding.

Another great idea for the fall wedding centerpieces is a beautiful miniature silk tree. These beautiful trees can be set to glow a warm orange and red glow, or just sit and bring out the flare of the autumn time of year. Another great centerpiece is a triangular piece of foam with autumnal foliage attached to it. The more you can bring in the idea of change and the colors of autumn the better.

The fall foliage creates a very special fall wedding centerpiece but so does the horn of plenty. The horn is a symbol of fertility and long lasting friendship. Whatever you do with this symbol will add to the beautiful day of your wedding. In the end, the most important part is to create a wedding centerpiece that looks and brings out exactly who you are.
