Fall Wedding Flower Trends and Ideas

One of the important things that need to be chosen during a wedding are the flowers. Flowers make up an important element of a wedding, from decorations to bouquets and boutineers. However, an old color or flower just won't do. The colors need to be according to the season. One example is for fall weddings. Here's a list of examples for a fall wedding and what can be done with them.

Calla lilies- These flowers have grown to popularity due to their wide variety of colors and sizes. For instance, you can have rusty orange colored ones and dark red ones, to name a few to add to the color scheme of your wedding. There are miniature sized ones that can be an accent flower to a bouquet or pulled together in a modern and creative looking bouquet with its cone-like shape that it has. The larger blossoms can be tied with a coordinating satin ribbon to make a single flower bouquet for bridesmaids.

Roses- A traditional flower for weddings, these flowers offer dark shades of red for fall weddings. With options such as deep red roses or black beauty roses, the warmth of the season and the elegance that a rose offers can be captured to highlight your wedding.

Gerber daises, lilies and hydrangeas- If your budget doesn't support a church full of roses, these flowers offer you a wide range of colors for a very cost efficient price. Gerber daisies offer a wide range of bold colors while lilies have a lot of deep, autumnal colors. With choices of deep reds and yellows, lilies have a lot of size choices as well that work in any bouquet. Hydrangeas, on the other hand, are large colorful flowers that have a large number of petals that would be a great choice for a flower girl's basket.

While these are a couple of examples of flowers, if you're not looking for deep colors and want white and simplistic, there are still other options. Bianca white roses, white Gerber daises, and ivory calla lilies would make great additions for a bridal bouquet. Gardenias, white delphiniums, peonies, and sweet peas are other options for decoration, bridesmaid bouquets, and bridal bouquets. As always, bring your color scheme ideas with you when you speak with your florist when you discuss these flowers. They'll have the best opinion on which will work and which ones won't.
