Fall and Winter Accessories for Women

Bernadette
Like it or not, the fall and winter seasons will soon be here. The other day while looking through my colder weather accessories, there were a few items that need to be purchased to get me ready for the upcoming seasons.

Perhaps you might need to purchase one or more of the accessories listed below to get yourself ready for the fall and winter seasons.

Pocketbook
One of my fall and winter pocketbooks needs to be thrown away. It is not usable anymore. Thank goodness, while shopping at a local discount department store earlier this year, they were having a clearance sale ongoo pocketbooks. We were able to purchase a really nice tan pocketbook at a terrific bargain price.

While searching in my closet, my eye spotted a nice black pocketbook that a friend gave me a few years ago. Thank goodness, the pocketbook is still in style. It is brand new too, having never been used. It will be nice to use two new pocketbooks for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.

Gloves
Once again, at the same clearance sale as mentioned above, the store was also selling gloves. My husband wanted me to buy a nice pair that would keep my hands warm during the cold weather, but my choice would have been a prettier style that are not as warm as the ones he wanted me to buy. Eventually, knowing that his choice was better, we bought a nice dark blue pair that looked fine.

It is important to me to always have more than one pair of gloves. This way while one pair is being washed and air-dried; there is a backup pair for me to wear.

While looking through my fall and winter accessories, the two other pairs of gloves in my dresser drawer are in good condition and will be used along with the new pair of gloves.

Boots
My dad bought me a pair of low cut boots last year. They were not used last year, but this year they will be taken out of the box as soon as the cold weather arrives. These boots are black and very warm and pretty.

For days when there is lots of snow, my knee-high boots are still good to wear. Having these two pairs of boots helps me to keep within my fall and winter accessory budget.

Head and Neck Covering
Usually my favorite head covering is a hood that is attached to my coat or jacket. My coat with a hood was discarded because it was too old. So, now instead of buying a scarf and hat, my choice will be a hood wrap. A hood wrap fits over the head and then around the neck, acting like a hat and a scarf. It will keep me warm with the ease of a one-piece garment. As soon as we can go shopping, we will look in various stores to find a good price on a nice hood wrap.

Shoes
The one pair of winter shoes in my closet is not my favorite pair of shoes. They are oxfords and the sole is a bit too chunky for me. They will be good to wear to go shopping, but not really for anything else. Last year at a clearance sale at a shoe store, it was impossible to find a pair that looked and felt right. So, that means that we need to also shop for a pair of winter shoes for me.

So far, after looking online, there are some shoes that interest me. Leather slip-ons are my preference and there seem to be quite a few in the store where we usually shop for shoes. Hopefully, we can visit the store, which will enable me to try on various shoes and hopefully find a pair to my liking.

Soon my fall and winter accessory shopping will be complete and then all that needs to be done is to wait for fall and winter to arrive.
