In the world of best intentions
There lives a creature of the fourth dimension
It is a creation of man's invention
Its name is Fallen Shorts.

Fallen Shorts is a strange name
The way it looks is just as strange
The way it acts is quite the same
This creature Fallen Shorts

What does it do, you want to know
As name suggests, it takes you low
Where goals and dreams you must forego
Because of Fallen Shorts

Back when sin, the man had done
This creature Shorts had finally won
The battle where there should have been none
Was lost to Fallen Shorts

And then for quite a long, long while
Ole' Fallen ruled with wicked smile
Because man's effort was so futile
Would lose to Fallen Shorts

Fallen kept man from God's glory
He was the cause of much worry
He was on the last page of each man's story
A life of Fallen Shorts

Then one day there came a Savior
Who exchanged godliness for bad behavior
He sacrifieced His life without a waiver
To defeat Fallen Shorts

It is through Him we receive Grace
With faith and strength to run the race
To see God one day face to face
And defeat Fallen Shorts

So you see fool Fallen, I'm not the same
God's given a new nature and a new name
Since Jesus the Lord in my life came
Bought me from Fallen Shorts

Don't get me wrong, still short I fall
But of my life that is not all
The cover of Jesus blood stands tall
To cleanse my Fallen Shorts
