Frank Lloyd Wright designed and oversaw the building of "Fallingwater" from 1936 to 1936 for the Edgar Kaufmann family. The Kaufmann's enjoyed their bonding with nature while leaving in the home from 1938 to 1963. At that point, the house was opened to the public for a small fee for individuals to tour and experience the sounds of nature. Today, tourist may purchase a ticket for $18 for a small tour of the home.
Those individuals who would like to experience "Fallingwater" by Frank Lloyd Wright as more than just a $18 small tour now have the option to experience an exclusive Insight Onsite overnight guest stay. Eight individuals a session will be given an exclusive and extensive tour of "Fallingwater" for the cost of $1195 per person for a double occupancy room or $1595 for a single. These eight individuals will stay for one full day and two evenings in a four-bedroom home, on conservancy property, a half-hour walk from "Fallingwater". While eight individuals enjoy each exclusive Insight Onsite overnight guest features, the public is not permitted to tour or visit "Fallingwater" making the experience very personal.
The fee for the exclusive overnight guest includes not only the opportunity to walk through the woods surrounding "Fallingwater" but guided tours of "Fallingwater" itself, extra time at "Fallingwater" to enjoy the peacefulness of the home and imagine how it would have felt to live in this home on a permanent basis, extra personal time within the home, lunch on one of the home's many terraces, and dinner on one of the evenings at the family "Fallingwater" home. During the private time the exclusive Insight Onsite guest experiences "Fallingwater", individuals may do such things as enjoying a quiet moment reading, converse with others on a terrace, have a small dinner party at the house, or simply have a drink by the fireplace.
The opportunity offered with the Insight Onsite exclusive overnight guest accommodations may be a little pricey but well worth the money. The sessions for 2010 have been established and there will be three held. Dates include: May 11-13th, June 10-12th, and September 7-9th. These three dates will give twenty-four individuals the opportunity to experience how the Edgar Kaufmann family lived for many years.
