Story : I really don't want to spoil a single thing here, so I won't. Sorry. If you're interested in this game, check it out and try to avoid spoilers.
Graphics : The graphics are truly amazing. The graphical quality on video games these days is all very good, and Fallout 3 meets or exceeds that easily. The detail in everything is near mind blowing. The characters all look spectacular and move really realistically. Even if you had the game on mute, the environments are very immersive and you really feel like you're there. A great game, graphically.
Sound : Unfortunately I can't be so polite with the sound. The effects are all decent enough but the sound just isn't very compelling. There's nothing here to really place you in the environment. It's almost as if they did a great job on the graphics then got lazy with the sound. Disappointing. I can't say the sound is totally horrible, but there really is nothing here worth remembering. Liam Neeson does voice acting in this game, and he does it very well too. So that's good, at least.
Game play : Though not quite the non-linear game everybody said it was, Fallout 3 is still good. The choices you get are mostly illusions and don't really effect the game play too much. Baldur's Gate 2 this is not. Still, the game is really tons of fun aside from that promise that doesn't really deliver. If you like post-apocalypse games, this game is probably the best one ever made. Everything here is truly all out. The variety within combat is what keeps you coming back for more, overall. There is a million ways to accomplish the same thing, and I'm really only slightly exaggerating. The rest of the game is composed of the same old role playing game-esque experiences, and they're all satisfying and well done. I have to go back to the combat, it's so fine tuned that it's amazing. You can fight any opponent in a huge number of ways. It's really so very well done I have to express how much variety it gives you.
Re playability : Honestly, there isn't much replay value. The choice of being good or evil is an illusion at best so there isn't much there to make you replay it. Others disagree with me, but I stand by my opinion. One play through is really all you need to see what the game has to offer. If you're an absolute Fallout nut, then perhaps you'll play the game over and over but I don't think that's true for most of us.
Overall : 8/10. A really great game with minimal sounds.
