New Vegas Companion: Arcade
Arcade was set to appear in the canceled Fallout project, Van Buren. This 35 year old is a Follower of of the Apocalypse, a religious group first seen in the original Fallout. Arcade is said to be a quiet, cautious man who is more interested in the survival of humanity as a whole then individuals. Arcade is proficient with the Science and Medical skills.
New Vegas Companion: Lily
Lily is a super mutant. Once involved in the Master's Army as a nightkin, she now lives a quiet life in Jacobstown. Lily is suited for stealth and melee weapons. Due to being medicated, she suffers from flashbacks of her former life in a Vault. She also gives the Stealth Girl perk.
New Vegas Companion: Rex
Fallout wouldn't feel right with a dog and in New Vegas, we get Rex. Unlike Dogmeat in the other games, Rex is a cyberdog. He been around since before the war and is starting to deteriorate. Great at sniffing out items, he gives the Search and Mark perk. Rex is said to dislike people in hats.
New Vegas Companion: Raul
Raul is a mechanic and ghoul. To gain Raul as a companion, players needs to free him from Tabitha. Besides the Regular Maintenance perk he provides, Raul is a skilled shooter. His specialty is pistols. He also makes a great pack mule, as he can carry up to 120 pounds of equipment.
New Vegas Companion: Veronica
She's a Brotherhood Scribe with a sarcastic streak. Veronica has her doubts about the Brotherhood's view of the world and feels like an outsider. She prefers unarmed weapons like the Power Fist and gives the Scribe Assistant perk.
New Vegas Companion: ED-E
This is the eyebot seen in the E3 trailer. ED-E is short for Subject E and is customized with special weapons and armor. The eyebot sustained damage while carrying data for a mission. It understands that it have a mission, but it has not told anyone of it. ED-E has the Enhanced Sensors perk.
New Vegas Companion: Cass
Rose of Sharon Cassidy is the daughter of Fallout 2's John Cassidy. She's a caravan owner looking to get out of the business. Cass has a string of bad luck and wants to find out if something more is going on. She's proficient with rifles and has the Whiskey Rose perk. This interesting perk lets player drink as much whiskey as they want without addiction and it raises the damage threshold.
There are other companions to meet as well. Some of them are temporary, while others stick with your character through the game. With the variety of different followers, the companions should be a rich, interesting experience in New Vegas. I can't wait to see how they interact with each other and your character.
