Fall's Technicolor Glory

Bright leaves shimmy, swirl, hurl
their crunchy selves in frantic glee.

Fickle winds toss, kick, flick
them indiscriminately.

Tomorrow I'll work, ache, rake
to reveal brown patchy grass.

Then I'll grump, moan, groan
until the blisters pass.

But today I watch, contemplate, appreciate
fall's technicolor glory.
