Do we ever really get what we expect ? no, I don't think we do. Can we really rely on these ads without getting mislead, I know this is how they get their business, but, it's almost like something being to good to be true, and when you get there, there's always some kind of catch, because, they've over exaggerated to get you to buy something because, they know when you get there you want change your mind and say no, " I really don't like it", and most of the time they're right, how many times have you purchase something because you got talked or tricked into it, and they're counting on the fact that they can talk you into buying to item or merchandise every time.
Consumers are mislead so much, you can be driving down the street and see signs in a windows about getting something free, and we all know nothing is really free there's always some sort of catch to it or it's more than you taught it would be, free is just a word to get you to come inside.
You also see signs and ads about trips and vacations to warm places like the Virgin Islands, or the Bahamas, or Jamaica, and you've probably received phone calls about trips you've won, but, when you get there it's not like you were told and it's not free, the hotel is not right or they don't have your room or there's some hidden fee you didn't know about you're going to have to do something in order to get this trip or vacation, like buy something first, and when you finally arrive the room wasn't what you had imagine. so, there goes your dream vacation, or you have to leave at a certain time so you won't be charge additional fees.
Or, someone told you about a nice restaurant and when you get there the food were awful. But people don't seems to mind, everything is always advertised in a big way to look so good you have to try it, that's what they want, that's how the world is advertising, pulling you into their ads for business, and to get lots of customers.
You've properly received something in your mail before about a free wireless cell phone and for you to just call the number listed in the letter, than when you call no, it's not free, or you'll have to pay some sort of shipping and handling fees in order to get it. Same goes for credit card offers, nothing is like they're advertisement and people don't seem to mind false advertising. Or, how about when you order something you saw in a magazine when you get it, it's not like what you saw in the paper, and they know you're not going to go through all the trouble of sending it back, but, if you did wanted to sent it back you would be the one who would have to pay for the shipping and handling can you believe that, that is false advertising.
Everywhere you go it's the same misleading thing whether it's a car, boat, house, no matter what it is almost everything is advertised the same way very few times you can go purchase something and it's exactly like you wanted it to be.
Sometimes we will buy something and than find something wrong with it like it's defected, it could be a car, or a computer, especially if it 's something used, something is always wrong with it that you weren't told about before. Life is just a gamble you never can be sure of what we're getting, that goes for husbands and wives as well.
