The Finger Lakes region of New York is a family friendly vacation spot that offers up kid friendly fun throughout the summer. If you plan to pack up the little ones and take them on a vacation in the region there is some must see action that takes place throughout the summer.

The Strong Museum of Play is a must see for kids of all ages. The Museum is located at One Manhattan Square in Rochester, NY and provides a full-day of play activity for the kids. The museum offers up a giant walk through kaleidescope, an amazing butterfly garden and a recreation of the famous Sesame Street set. Craft stations are set up throughout the museum. It is open 7 days a week. Adult tickets run $9.50 and children 2-17 pay $8.50. The butterfly garden, which is a must see is an additional $3.00 for adults and children aged 2 and up.

Roseland Water Park and Seabreeze Amusement Park are two locations that the kids will definitely enjoy. Roseland features several water rides, a wave pool and several other cool attractions that kids and teens will love. Tickets for adults and kids over 48 inches is $19.95 and 15.95 for kids under '48. Seabreeze Amusement Park offers up family fun for kids of all ages. There are age appropriate rides for everyone. The Ride and Slide Pass is $22 per person. The pass offers unlimited rides for the day.

Roseland Water Park is located at 250 Eastern Boulevard in Canandaigua. The park opens for the season in late June. Seabreeze Amusement Park is located at 4600 Culver Rd in Rochester. Seabreeze opens in mid-May.

The New York State Festival of Balloons takes place over Memorial Day weekend. The Festival is located in Dansville, NY. General admission is $5 for adults and children 12+. Tethered Balloon rides, games and entertainment are all on hand. Profit from general admission goes to local charities.
