Friendly's

Located right in the 'heart' of Route 1 traffic, this great family restaurant is extremely family oriented. The atmosphere is very kid friendly, and fun for members of all ages. Here's a breakdown:
Kids' Deals: Any day, any night! There are no special hours or deals, there's just your low everyday prices for kids' meals.
Kids' Menu: The cool thing about Friendly's is that kids can feel like adults because the menu is meant to give them choices. They first choose a drink, then an entree, and then a dessert. The meal options range from chicken fingers to burger sliders to garden salad, and there are plenty of sides to choose from. And, of course, dessert's always a win, since their ice cream is always a nice addition.
Adult Menu: The adult menu at Friendly's includes all kinds of all-American food, ranging from chicken fingers to meatloaf to supermelt sandwiches.
So what's to like about Friendly's? For starters, one important detail is that for the kids' sides, there's plenty of healthy options (vegetables, apple slices, rice, oranges, etc.). I think this could leave every parent feeling pretty decent about bringing their children here. Also, there's no meal that's over $14, and that's considering a meal that includes a drink and dessert. Kids' meals are very fairly priced for everything that they get. The service is usually spot-on at the Attleboro location, as well.
All in all, you get the feeling like families are the main target audience for a Friendly's restaurant, which is a great thing. And don't forget to check out their website for games for the kids and even activities for the parents (including nutritional and allergy information).
Chuck E Cheese's

When you think of Chuck E Cheese's, you can't help but think of kids' parties. But you don't necessarily have to be partying in order to enjoy some dinner here:
Kids' Deals: Any day, any night -- again, no specific hours for 'deals', just everyday low prices.
Kids' Menu: Pizza is the main fare here, for both kids and adults, and quite frankly, there aren't a ton of choices. You can also get sandwiches, hot dogs, wings, or salad. Desserts consist of cinnamon sticks or an apple dessert pizza.
The prices aren't bad at this restaurant, just your typical pizza prices that you can expect anywhere. Really, the reason to come here is the entertainment, games, and rides. It's like a kids' playground with some food on the side, and your child is guaranteed to have a good time here. Check out their website for restaurant hours, coupons, and menu information (both nutritional and allergy information).
Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday is the perfect restaurant if you want something more adult-like in food selection, but still want to include the kids, especially for the unbelievable prices available here:
Kids' Deals: There's no special hours or days for the amazing prices at this location. However, kids must be less than 10 years old to qualify for this portion of the menu.
Kids' Menu: This restaurant has a decent amount of choices for kids, with all dishes at less than $5, which is fantastic for the parents. Choices include pasta, mac & cheese, mini-burgers (both beef and turkey options), shrimp, and chicken. There's also access to the salad bar. Drinks include soft drinks, but also milk or juice boxes from Minute Maid.
Adult Menu: This restaurant happens to be one of my favorites as far as the adult menu goes. You could really get anything from pasta to steak to seafood, all at very reasonable prices.
While Ruby Tuesday may not have the same obvious family-friendly atmosphere as other restaurants, they do welcome parents with small children with open arms, so to speak. They've got available high chairs and the service is always great, and they're always willing to cater to your tastes while keeping your little friends happy. They provide crayons and placemats that can be drawn on for their littlest customers and pint-sized desserts to keep the kids happy while Mom and Dad can great a tasty bite to eat.
Ninety Nine (99) Restaurant
http://www.99restaurants.com/
1510 South Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760
508-399-9990
The 99 Restaurant has always been known for it's very decent prices, and the kids' menu is no exception:
Kids' Deals: There's no specific time or day when kids' deals are in effect, and children must be 10 and under to qualify.
Kids' Menu: With it's own separate kids' menu, the 99 does offer a good amount of items for children, but not the healthiest, unfortunately. Main dishes include grilled cheese, chicken fingers, pizza, and quesadillas, just to name a few. Luckily, side items do offer a few healthy choices, including applesauce, Mandarin oranges, vegetables, and rice pilaf. There's also soda, milk, chocolate milk, and juices for beverages. Most of the meals sit at just about $5, but beware, the drinks cost extra ($1.29 extra at this particular location).
Adult Menu: I can't say enough as far as adult fare goes at this restaurant....there are many choices at fantastic prices for the adults. One of the 99's most popular deals is Real Size Entrees for Only $9.99 - you can get a really good portioned meal for just about $10, and there are plenty of choices. Lunch is even cheaper, with some meals as low as $5.99.
The 99 may be just a little more pricey as far as the kids' meals go compared to other area restaurants, but the money that you save on adult meals definitely evens things out. Also, the portions tend to be a tad bigger here for the kids, so there is that fact to consider. Either way, this restaurant is a favorite because it definitely holds that family atmosphere where kids are always welcome and well-received. Also keep a lookout for 99'ers Games Booklet, which wait staff can pass out to your kids for coloring and activities.
