Family Friendly Restaurants in Roswell, Georgia

Places to Eat for Families in Roswell, Georgia

Kirby Rooks
Another Saturday night and the kids want to go out to eat. You on the other hand don't want to feel like the only family with noisy kids in a restaurant waiting endlessly for the meal to come. I know I have four kids and have been through this routine a zillion times. Well here are my recommendations for the top three family friendly restaurants and a bonus for the workweek in Roswell, Georgia.

International House of Pancakes

Better known as IHOP the International House of Pancakes is definitely high on the list of kid friendly restaurants. Why? Well for starters the menu is extensive and you can order breakfast anytime. Such great meals as fried chicken, pork chops or spaghetti won't break the bank. Not interested in a meal then hamburgers and chicken sandwiches may be just the answer for those hungry kids. That leaves room for desert with pies, ice cream and sundaes to satisfy any age child.

They also have children's portions and kids special on Tuesday nights. The service is quick and check out efficient, which is music to a parents ears. Parking is well lit and of course everyone goes away feeling full. There are two locations in Roswell. One is on Johnson Ferry Blvd and the other on Alpharetta Highway. Grab the kids and give it a try tonight.

Curbside Café

The Curbside Café, located as an out parcel in the Kroger shopping center on Marietta Highway, is an excellent choice for a family friendly gathering. Why? It is a family run business and any night of the week the father Harvey (don't know last name) and his wife and kids will serve you up a delicious meal. You order before sitting and get your drink and head for a table. Before you can get real settled your blackened grouper, baked chicken, spaghetti or hamburger is ready and cooked to perfection. Deserts such as coconut cream pie makes a wonderful ending to a very nice meal out. Pricing is very affordable.

The older kids deliver the food to your table, while the younger kids bus tables. Good examples of a family working together to make life work to perfection just like the cooking.

Donny's Home Cooking

A buffet-style restaurant with all-you-eat food at an inexpensive price. They have all your buffet favorites. This is home style deep southern cooking. Fried chicken, collard greens, mashed potatoes with gravy, fried catfish and of course your favorite deserts like banana pudding, ice cream, fruit and cakes. Very quick service to your table to get a drink selection then its off to the buffet line to dig in and eat hearty. Located at the corner of Highway 92 and Sandy Plains Blvd with a large well-lit parking lot.

Those are the top three family friendly restaurants in Roswell, Georgia. But I promised a bonus and here it is:

Mom's Table

Not a restaurant but home cooking to go. That's right just stop in and buy some of Mom's great Chicken Salad, Brunswick Stew, Chicken Pot Pie, Pumpkin Bars with cream cheese icing or good old home made Biscuits. All food is baked from original Mom's recipes. Located in the historic district on Canton Street Moms Table is priced between a fast food and a sit down restaurant. Foods are cooked, all you do is pick up and pop in the microwave or oven following Mom's instructions and feed your family at home. Great for those weeknights when there is no time to cook or you forgot to go by the grocery store.

Well there you have my special bonus and the three top family friendly restaurant selections in Roswell, Georgia.
