Parade, carnival, ranch rodeo, historical encampments, Wild West gunfighter competition, blacksmithing contest, food, entertainment, carnival and kids' zone. Great place for kids to travel back in time to the Wild West days! Held at AC Dysart Park.

Pumpkin Festival
Pig races, corn maze, pony rides, train rides, petting farm, John Deere tractor collection and farm grown pumpkins, gourds and squash. Event held at Peltzer farms.

Big Bear Lake, California
Oktoberfest
Weekend festival with German bands, dancing, German food, beer, log sawing competitions, kids' contests, arts and crafts, vendors and games. There's also a designated driver program and complimentary shuttle. Held at the Big Bear Convention Center.

LA County Fair

Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival
Lobster meals, dancing, parades, street performers, pirate camp, tall ships, arts and crafts and live music. At Ports O' Call Village.

September 18
Duarte, California
Duarte Route 66 Parade and Car Show
Parade, car show, picnic, live entertainment, games, food, arts and crafts and exhibits. Held at Royal Oaks Park.

September 24 - 26
Hollywood, California
Feast of San Gennaro
Italian culture is celebrated with food, live music, street performers, strolling musicians, cooking demonstrations, kids' corner, rides, livestock and games. On Hawthorne street between Highland and Orange avenues.

September 25
Long Beach, California
Latin American Parade
Parade of floats, performers, and organizations representing Latin American countries and cultures. There's also an outdoor festival with authentic cuisine, live music, free dance lessons, art, and kids' activities. Parade starts at Pine Avenue and Sixth street. Festival is at First and Elm streets.

Costa Mesa, California
Festival of Children
A month long celebration of childhood with activities, exhibits, performances and fun for kids of all ages. Held at the South Coast Plaza.

Boat racing and family beach festival at Mission Bay Park.

ArtWalk on the Bay
Open-air fine arts festival with thousands of original art pieces by more than 100 artists, live music and entertainment. There will also be kids' activities and much more. Held at the Waterfront Park at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront near Seaport Village.
