Family Fun New Year's Events in Houston

I live in the wonderful city of Downtown Houston, Texas. I was searching for some events that I could take my kids to possibly and I found this one. It seems really fun and also gives my husband and I a chance for some nice quiet time just us.

Sharkey's New Year's Eve party at Downtown Aquarium from 2pm-6pm on December 31^st 2009. This is the place to be for good family fun. It's quite inexpensive as well. They are going to be having a nice magic show, a live band, contests galore, giveaways, a kid's ball drop and nice opportunity to have your kid's picture taken with Sharkey the Aquarium Mascot.

To get into this event, it costs: Adults -$9.25, Kids(from 2-12)-$6.25, and children under 2 are always free! For an all day pass to the rides for unlimited access and to the exhibits it costs only $15.99 a person.

There are plenty of rides here. It's just like a carnival. What better way to spend the day with your family then to come down to the Aquarium and enjoy this once a year extravaganza!

If that doesn't interest you then maybe a night at Incredible Pizza might! The event starts at 8pm and then ends at 1am on New Year's Eve. The people at Incredible Pizza are throwing a nice family fun party. There is going to be door prizes, a special balloon drop, trivia contest and a non-alcoholic toast right at midnight.

It costs $25 per person. This $25 a person pays for unlimited pizza buffet, unlimited go-karts, bowling, bumper cars, and mini golf. It has a little something for everyone. All of these could keep your kids busy for a few hours while mommy and daddy get some nice alone time.

These two are both excellent for that family that wants to spend the day together. Kids of all ages will enjoy it. Let's bring in the New Year with a nice night out on the town with the kids.
