Tales Around the Campfire: October 26, 2007
Tales Around the Campfire is a night of songs and stories about popular Halloween creatures. The event is recommended for ages five to 16 and costs $10. The event takes place on Friday, October 26, 2007, from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. Tales around the Campfire occurs at the Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary, located at 10 Juniper Road in Belmont, Massachusetts 02478. Call to register: 617-489-5050.

Discover a mystery at the Old Manse.
The All-Hallows Eve event takes place on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Old Manse. Tours begin every half an hour. Old Manse is located at 269 Monument Street in Concord, Massachusetts. To register, call (978) 369-3909.
Halloween Adventures: October 27, 2007
Wear a costume to the Halloween Adventure at a local Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuary. You will be introduced to some "creepy crawly live animals." Also go on a "guided prowl" to look for nocturnal creatures. Listen to fireside spooky stories while eating snacks.. This is an educational and fun family event for kids of all ages.
Families have three chances to catch the Halloween Adventures on Oct 27 2007: at 6pm, 7pm or at 8pm. Adults are $12, and children are $7; cost is less for Mass Audubon members.
The Halloween Adventures take place at the not-so-spooky Mass Audubon's Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, located at 280 Eliot Street in Natick, Massachusetts.
Halloween Story Time, Scavenger Hunt, and Costume Contest:October 27, 2007
Enjoy Halloween story time and a fun scavenger hunt at 11am and at 2pm. Kids can wear a costume and enter the costume contest at 2pm. A reading by local author Lesley Bannatyne follows. The Harvard Coop, 1400 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, Massachusetts. For more information call 617-499-2000.
Pumpkins in the Park: October 27, 2007

The ponds and walkways at Bird Park will be decorated with pumpkins and jack-o'-lanterns. Families can enjoy games, ghost stories and treats. Costumes welcome at this free event.

Halloween Town: October 27, 2007 & October 28, 2007
Girl Authority is coming to Halloween Town! Other entertainment includes Wally from the Red Sox and Blades from the Bruins, plus the New England Patriots Cheerleaders, Big Joe Story Telling, Halloween songs by jeanniemack, Behind the Mask, Mad Science, and more.
Halloween Town runs from 10:00am until 6pm on both Saturday, October 27, 2007 and Sunday October 28, 2007.
Ticket prices for 18+ are $16/advance, $18 at the door; 65+ and children pay $13/advance, $15 at the door; children three and under are free. The event is designed for toddlers to 12-year-olds.

Zoo Howl: October 27, 2007 & October 28, 2007
Families have two days to go to the zoo and enjoy creepy crafts, a haunted maze, a trick-or-treat trail and more.
The Zoo Howl takes place from 11am until 3pm. The event is free with zoo admission.
