Wow! The next page, at the top of the list, said war photos. I clicked on that and there was a photo of my Great
Grandfather. I was so happy to find it. I copied it and e-mailed it to my mother for confirmation. She said it was him.
This is the site where his photo is.

Then, I had a site to use to search for other family members.
The ancestry one is another great site to search.
A friend of mine, that paid for this, monthly, at the ancestry site, found a lot of info on my family and on my boyfriend's family.
When I found the war photos of my Great Grandfather, I found my Uncle Harvey Flewelling, too. Not too far down, on Google.
This was really nice. Some info I was finding was written by someone who I do not know and some info is wrong, so I need to follow up with these people and tell them who Bradford and Harvey were.
In my search, I found this next one.
At the familytreemaker site.
My Great Grandfather's wife's name and other info about her.
I did not find much on yahoo.
With yahoo, I decided to just type in the word genealogy and see what the results were for ideas of other sites to do research. Some were good.
Then, I went to Google and did the same thing.
Family searching can take a lot of time and once you get to one page, you will keep going forever.
It is very interesting and exciting when you find some of your family, especially photos such as I found. It was fun and emotionally rewarding to find my Great Grandfather's photo on line.
Good luck and have fun!
Thanks for reading!

Post a CommentThanks for these details. I have not used the rootsweb, but will try it now.
I dabbled with that a little but never had the time to really get into it.
That is very cool that you were able to find all that online, especially the photos! Unfortunately for me, being adopted and having an extremely popular original surname, I don't have such luck! Kudos to you though!
That is wonderful, will have to check it out!
