There is so much to do and see while you are visiting Chicago that it can become a financial burden! However, there are ways to save some money on food. You and your family can have a great meal without spending a fortune. There are eateries where you can eat at for $10 or less per person!

Well, if you and your kids are in the mood for some hot dogs then Murphy's Red Hots is the perfect option for you. They are famous for their Chicago Franks. Their hot dog with everything on it is called, "Walk thru the garden". This hot dog comes topped with pickles, lettuce, cucumber's, celery and sport peppers. This little goody will only cost you $2.79.

Then there is the rib eye steak sandwich if you are not too big on hot dog that will cost you $5.25 and comes with Swiss cheese, sliced onions and horseradish; if you would like to get something simple like a burger that will cost you $3.35.

The service is fast, they try to get people in and out. The reason for that is that the restaurant is really small. There are only five tables to sit at. So, I would say the atmosphere is a little rushed, but you get a cheap meal.

M. Henry is a great place to eat at for breakfast or brunch. This is an American style restaurant that caters to vegans and vegetarians. The great thing about this restaurant is that there are items on the menu that cost $1. Your little ones can have a delicious breakfast for $5 and then you can get a little bit more and stay at your $10 budget. You can have the Dulce Banana rumba French toast or their amazing bread pudding and that will keep you right below your budget.

The atmosphere is clean and cute. You will most likely feel refreshed and comfortable when you walk in. They get there guest seated quickly and that is always a good thing.

The Superdawg Drive is another excellent option for you and your family. They have plenty of items on their menu that will keep you in the $1-$10 per person price range. They serve typical American foods and desserts. What they are most known for here are their hot dogs. The atmosphere is fast paced since it is a drive through. The experience is still fun though and the staff is really upbeat. The food is delicious; they don't slack off just because of their inexpensive prices. A great hot dog or burger will only cost you a couple of bucks and you can share fries amongst each other.

Home Run Inn is great if you are craving pizza. Pizza is not the only thing that they serve, but it is one of their specialties. The pizza is delicious and it is thin crust instead of deep dish. The atmosphere is cozier than it used to be. They have done some remolding and add comfier seating. Many of their food offerings range from $1-$10. You can have your kids share a pizza for under $10.00!

I thought I would throw in a place where you could get some excellent dessert! Sweet Mandy B's is the spot when you and yours have a major sweet tooth. There price range is $1-$20. So as you can see these amazing sweet delights can be purchased for well under $10 a person. This is a very kind friendly environment; it is fun and light. It will be like a gallery of goodies to them. They are known for their homemade cupcakes so you might want to grab one of those!
