Brian Bonsall, 28 is best known for his roles as Andy Keaton on Family Ties and Alexander Rozhenko on Star Trek, the Next Generation. His arrest comes just days after TV mom Meredith Baxter revealed that she is a lesbian.
The Family Ties cast has been through its trials with Justine Bateman's past eating disorder and Michael J. Fox's battle with Parkinson's.
Family Ties' Brian Bonsall Arrested: TV Show Casts
After this week, I'll never be able to look at Family Ties the same way again. While I have no problem with Meredith Baxter's sexual orientation, it was a bit of a surprise because she seemed like such a quintessential TV mom. Now I'll never look at sweet little Andy Keaton without picturing him throwing a stool at someone.
The cast of Growing Pains turned out relatively normal, though there were periods of struggle, particularly with Tracey Gold's eating disorder and Kirk Cameron's religious conversion. When he first found Jesus, he found himself at odds with cast members when he tried to purge the show of any material that could be considered adult of inappropriate. On a Larry King special, Kirk Cameron explained that new converts had a tendency to be overzealous and that he had made up with his cast members.
Perhaps one of the most dysfunctional TV show casts was The Brady Bunch. In Maureen McCormick's memoir, she recounted tales of sex, drugs, and eating disorders. She also discussed nearly losing her virginity to TV brother Barry Williams and sharing a lesbian kiss with Eve Plumb (which Plumb denied). She also discussed being attracted to TV dad Robert Reed only to find out he was gay.
Hopefully Family Ties' Brian Bonsall will have learned from this experience and will stay out of trouble in the future.

Post a CommentSeems like most of these child stars live a troubled life. So sad, especially since they helped to fill our homes with so much laughter.
Both events throw ya for a loop, don't they?
