Family Values Cost Money
Family values are just a myth fostered by prejudice against the poor and unfortunate. Many divorced middle class couples who once spoke about family values now speak about the fun of being trailer park trash. Money not love produces college educated adults not family values. Without enough money there is not a happy family or much of anything. Two parent families do a much better job of raising college educated children. They also do a better job of acquiring more expensive homes and cars. The reasons are obvious--- two incomes buys more than one. Single parents with out of wedlock children do the worst job of getting them into college or having an expensive home or car. The reasons are obvious---one income buys less than two. Traditional family values are based on the mathematical truth that two incomes go further than one. High income gay couples with adopted children are the winners in the race to produce college educated adults. It is all about income and has nothing to do with the family values that never existed.

Interesting. My parents instilled family values in us with my mother being a stay at home mom and my dad the breadwinner, and we could have gone to any college of our choice with scholarships. Family values instilled in us to do what we thought was right not education. Education is a personal choice that you are right is sometimes money. Usually college education is dependant upon whether or not learning and going after a goal was instilled in someone.
This is a very good article. Most unwed mothers are trying their best to raise their kids so that the kids become responsible adults. These unwed mothers apparently are looked down upon with contempt by many right wing conservatives. The right wing conservatives are too busy pointing the finger, placing blame and judging others to comprehend what happened and why. The right wing conservatives have rendered themselves blind and deaf.
