The Arquettes
Rosanna Arquette has been hard at work in show business for over 30 years now. Some of her biggest movies are The Executioner's Song, Desperately Seeking Susan, Amazon Women on the Moon, and Pulp Fiction. She has also appeared on TV shows, such as The "L" Word, Will and Grace, and Lipstick Jungle. She currently has several movies in the works.
Patricia Arquette, formerly married to Nicholas Cage, started out with minor roles in many TV shows and specials. She is currently working on the show Medium, and has been nominated several times for her work. She has even won a Golden Globe for this show. Notable movies have been in True Romance, Fast Food Nation, Holes, and Ed Wood.
David Arquette is the more famous of the two brothers. He usually plays a goofy character, such as his roles as Deputy Dewey in the Scream franchise, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Muppets From Space, Never Been Kissed, Ready to Rumble, and Eight Legged Freaks. He is married to Courtney Cox, who played Monica on Friends. He has also been working on four new movies.
Richmond Arquette is the "other brother." His roles tend to have been smaller, though the pictures have been larger. He has appeared in movies such as Fight Club, Scream 3, and Made of Honor. He has had appearances on family members' shows, such as Medium, and Dirt. His best known role is that of the delivery man in Se7en.
Alexis Arquette has had numerous small roles in lesser known movies. She is a transwoman, born as a man but now lives as a woman, and has played roles of both sexes.
The Breslins
Abigail Breslin may appear to be the superstar of the family, but her brother Spencer is a prolific actor in his own right. Spencer Breslin has been seen in movies such as The Santa Clause 2 and 3, The Cat in the Hat, Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement, and Harold. He also played Abigail's brother onscreen in Raising Helen. The two also appear together in The Santa Clause 3.
Abigail got her start in M. Night Shyamalan's Signs. Her next major role was her Oscar-nominated performance in Little Miss Sunshine. Other recent popular movies of hers include Nim's Island, Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, and My Sister's Keeper. She currently has several projects in pre-production and post-production.
Las hermanas Cruz

She won an Oscar for her work in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. She also made a name for herself by dating Tom Cruise for several years. She is now married to Javier Bardem and is at work on the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Overseas, her younger sister Monica Cruz has become a star on the Spanish show Un paso adelante. They also have a brother Eduardo.
The Culkins
Who can forget Macauley Culkin and the ubiquitous scream from Home Alone? And then there was the whole drama with the custody battle between his unmarried parents. He also was in such movies as Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Good Son, My Girl, Uncle Buck, and Saved! He has done minor TV stints and is now working on a couple new films. Macauley also comes from a large family of actors. And they all look very much alike.
Kieran Culkin, one of the middle sibings, also appeared in Home Alone, as well as having roles in Father of the Bride, Music of the Heart, and The Ciderhouse Rules. He has three upcoming films.
Rory Culkin's first major role was in the movie Signs. He was also in The Zodiac and The Night Listener. He is currently filming Scream 4. He is the youngest of the family, and often briefly played younger versions of his older brothers.
Quinn Culkin, the younger sister, only appeared in one major motion picture. She played Macauley's sister in the creepy drama The Good Son.
Christian Culkin appeared in only one movie, It Runs in the Family.
Dakota Culkin, their older sister, preferred working behind the camera as an art producer, but was tragically killed when struck by a car at the age of 29, in 2008.
Their oldest brother Shane, is not affiliated with any productions.
The Dillon Brothers
The Dillon family consists of six children, three of whom have Hollywood ties. Matt Dillon was one of the biggest heartthrobs of the 1980s, starring in movies such as The Outsiders, Rumble Fish, The Flamingo Kid, and The Drugstore Cowboy. Famous movies of his from the 1990s include Mr. Wonderful, Singles, To Die For, In and Out, Wild Things, and There's Something About Mary. He also starred in the Oscar-winning movie Crash. Matt continues to work on one to two movies a year.
Kevin Dillon started acting a little later, with his first major role as John Densmore in The Doors. His greatest success has been on TV, with work on That's Life, and currently on the hit HBO show Entourage.
A third Dillon brother, Paul, briefly attempted an acting career, with three minor roles, but left the acting to his younger brothers.
The Lawrence Brothers
Remember the 90s TV show Blossom? Joey Lawrence played Blossom's dumb brother, with the big hair, and said "Whoa!" all the time? He got his start, with a mop of hair, hitting it big on the classic TV show Gimme a Break. The child star was also in the John Candy movie Summer Rental and is the voice of Oliver in Oliver & Company. He has dabbled on other TV shows, including stints on American Dreams, as well as several TV movies. The latest one was My Fake Fiance.
Joey has also worked with his two younger brothers, Matthew and Andrew. The three brothers starred in the Disney Channel show Brotherly Love, as well as two Disney movies, Horse Sense and Jumping Ship.
Matthew Lawrence also appeared on several episodes of Gimme a Break and played a younger version of Joey on episodes of Blossom. He has done many TV movies, as well as being one of the stars of the show Boy Meets World. He is currently at work on a few other motion pictures.
Andrew Lawrence is the youngest of the brothers, with a 12-year difference between him and Joey. He has also done a lot of TV shows and TV movies, including Recess and Oliver Beene. His most recent projects have been on United States of Tara and the movie Bones.
The Penn Brothers
Sean Penn is the brother who has made the most headlines. He was Madonna's first husband and is in the process of divorcing actress wife Robin Wright. He won the Oscar for his portrayal of Harvey Milk in Milk and for his work in Mystic River. He wrote, directed, and produced Into the Wild. He has also been in numerous other movies, including Fast Times and Ridgemont High, 21 Grams, Dead Man Walking, and I Am Sam. He also has two famous brothers.
Michael Penn is a musician who had a big hit back in 1989 with his song "No Myth." He continues work as a composer on many major motion pictures. He is currently married to Aimee Mann.
Chris Penn was also an actor. He appeared in 1980s classics such as All The Right Movies, Rumble Fish, and Footloose. Other major pictures were Reservoir Dogs, Mobsters, Rush Hour, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Unfortunately, as his number of movie roles increased, so did his weight and partying. He died of an enlarged heart on January 26, 2006.
The Phoenix Family
Joaquin Phoenix is one of five siblings in the Phoenix clan, and is most often in the public eye. His first major role, listed as Leaf Phoenix, came in Parenthood. Other notable roles were in movies such as Inventing the Abbotts, Signs, Ladder 49, and We Own the Night. He suddenly called an end to his acting career after being nominated twice for the Academy Award (once for his portrayal of Johnny Cash in Walk the Line and once for playing Commodus in Gladiator). Following the release of his last movie Two Lovers, he was often spotted unkempt and seemingly intoxicated. Supposedly he was starting a rap career and the whole thing was being filmed by his brother-in-law Casey Affleck. Rumor has it production is just about complete.
The Phoenix clan is multi-talented. River Phoenix was also a promising actor who demonstrated tremendous talent. His major film roles were in Stand By Me, A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, Little Nikita, Running on Empty, Sneakers.. He even did his own singing for his role in The Thing Called Love and wrote one of the songs. Tragically, he died of a drug overdose in 1993, with younger brother Joaquin by his side.
Summer Phoenix is the youngest of the clan. She enjoyed a brief acting career, including the movies Girl, Committed, and The Laramie Project. She is also a musician, playing in the band Paper Cranes, and owns a vintage clothing store. She has two children with her husband, actor Casey Affleck.
Rain Phoenix, sometimes known as Rainbow, has also performed in a few movies, including Maid to Order, O, and Hitch. She recently was in the movie Three Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Days. She has been in a couple of bands, including Aleka's Attic, which also featured her brother River.
Liberty Phoenix appeared in two TV episodes, but is most known for performing music. She also has her own green business in Florida.
The Richardson Sisters
Born to actor Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson, it seemed almost inevitable that their daughters would make it big in the movie world. Joley Richardson was on TV shows such as Behaving Badly, Nip/Tuck, and The Tudors. She also played the title role in Lady Chatterly, and in movies such as the live action 101 Dalmatians, The Affair of the Necklace, and The Patriot. She just finished work on the upcoming movie Anonymous.
Natasha Richardson was Joely's older sister. Some of her best-known performances were in Gothic, Nell, The Parent Trap, and Evening. She was also a talented Broadway actress. She had two kids with her husband, actor Liam Neeson. She passed away on March 18, 2009, after suffering head injuries in a skiing accident.
The Van Dykes
Dick Van Dyke is one of the most classic comedic entertainers of our time. Starring in classic family movies, such as Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Curious George, and Night at the Museum, he also entertained audiences on his TV shows, appropriately named after himself. He also allowed family members to appear with him on his more serious show Diagnosis Murder. He demonstrated an amazing ability to contort his body into seemingly impossible positions and facial expressions, providing a unique form of comedy.
His brother is entertainer Jerry Van Dyke. Jerry spent much time working on various TV shows over the years, with his longest stint on the sitcom Coach. He was also a stand-up comedian and often entertained his fellow troops in the Air Force.
