Deep down inside, we're all different. And because of that, we all have different talents. Sometimes the inability to fit in hurts our self-esteem, but when we recognize that our differences can be our strengths, it sheds a different light on things.
There are a lot of positive traits that people with ADD/ADHD have. For example, the top 10 characteristics are: creative, artistic, intuitive, empathetic, visionary, inventive, sensitive, original, loving, exuberant.1 Those are all good things! Post a CommentI just stumbled across this, and having ADD, I must say it's encouraging! Don't know how you came across Galileo's diagnosis, but it's ok with me. Bill Gates I've heard has Asperger's Syndrome -- which has some of the same symptoms, but apparently you make more money. Good article!
Good list.
I had read a similar article to this several years ago; glad to see it being brought to the attention of millions.
Interesting. I'm wondering about all these famous people who lived before the terms "ADD" and "ADHD" even existed. By the way, totally off-topic, but how'd you get that COOL "Top 1000" badge? That thing's WAY prettier than my gray one (I'm not saying you don't deserve a nicer badge, 'cause you do. It's just the first time I've noticed one of those star badges. I like it!). :)
That was very good.
Thanks for sharing this interesting info!
I always knew Robin Williams was something. His style of switching between subjects and references so fast is hilariously funny.
I ALWAYS KNEW I WAS ADD BUT SCHOOL DIDN'T INVENT IT IN MY DAY!
I wasn't surprised to see Jim Carey on this list. LOL He is one of my favorite comedians. I was surprised to see Cher. Anyway, I think I have ADD/ADHD but never have been tested. The schools make such a big deal about kids who have it and I say give them some more creative outlets, not meds!
I totally see creative types with ADHD! Nicely done.
