These Stars Allegedly Have Herpes

LDP
According to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control, approximately 50 million or more people have genital herpes. Herpes is an STD marked by lesions or sores to the genital area as well as the person experiencing flu like symptoms. Herpes can be spread to a sexual partner even when a condom is being used. F the person you are being sexual with has herpes you are still at risk of contracting the STD with the use of a condom. The virus is so small that it is capable of passing through some of the porous areas of the condom.

Famous People Who Allegedly Have Herpes

It is estimated that 1 in 4 Americans have genital herpes so it is no surprise that some famous celebrities would also be in the same ratio.

Reportedly Liza Minnelli has herpes and according to her now ex-husband-David Gest, she never warned him of her sexually transmitted disease. Gest sued Minnelli for not alerting him to the fact that she had a contagious and incurable STD such as herpes.

The famous comedian Robin Williams was accused by an ex girlfriend of not telling her that he had the STD herpes. The ex-girlfriend sued Robin Williams for spreading the virus to her. It is unknown if the case was won, lost, or settled outside of court.

Whether a celebrity has an STD or not, many famous people are accused of having an STD, fathering a child, or other acts that the famous person may never have been involved in. Celebrities often find themselves in the target range for people who are out for easy money or a quick 15 minutes of fame.

Michael Vick, the NFL player convicted of partaking in pit bull fighting is another celebrity accused of passing an STD to a former ex. The ex sued saying that Michael Vick gave her herpes. The case never made it to court and Vick and his legal team settled with the woman outside of court.

David Hasselehoff is another celeb accused and sued for allegedly spreading herpes to a woman he had sexual relations with. Tony Nannette was also accused by an ex lover to have herpes and passing it on to the lover.

These celebrities, as far as research goes, have never admitted to having herpes. One thing with the media is, once the information is put out there, it is accepted as truth. Some celebrities may settle outside of court and the public views that as an admission of guilt. This should not be the case. It is likely that many celebrities would rather keep the "rumor" or "notion" that they have an STD out of the public record. Due to the paparazzi and those "close friends" or ex-lovers looking for 15 minutes of fame and possibly a 6 or 7 figure settlement out of the allegation law suits like this are made frequently.

On the other hand, these people who have sued celebrities due to stating that the rich and famous gave them an incurable disease are in fact, telling the truth.

Because so many people come up with frivolous law suits, it is difficult to determine which accusations are true and which are not. One thing you can learn from all of this is-if you have genital herpes then you must tell your sexual partner of your STD and possibly get the information in writing and signed to cover yourself from possible personal injury lawsuits. Remember, Herpes can be spread even when using a condom. This is especially true if the infected person is experiencing an outbreak. Even without an outbreak, a herpes carrier is still "contagious."
