Fancy Feast Appetizers for Cats Make an Old Cat Happy

Teresa Hoyt
Mickey is 14 and in good health, but like all old cats, he needs to have his appetite tempted with something really delicious. It's not that he's picky. An old cat's sense of smell isn't as strong as a kittens and it takes a nice smelly food to really please him. Mickey also likes easy to eat, ground up food instead of big chunks.

I received a free sample of Fancy Feast appetizers and immediately set it aside for Mickey. When I finally gave it to him, his reaction was dramatic. Mickey doesn't talk much, he doesn't meow and he does not purr audibly but when I gave him the Fancy Feast appetizer he started making happy cat sounds immediately. He purred and he sort of growled and made lip smacking sounds and he gobbled up the appetizer. I have never seen a cat enjoy food so much!

Fancy Feast Appetizers for cats went on my shopping list and I provide him with one per day as a supplement to his regular Friskies canned food. They are quite a bit more expensive, but according to Mickey, they are well worth it.

There are 8 varieties available at this time and we have tried them all. Mickey has eaten every one with great gusto, but I think there are some that are higher on his list than others. I have to admit, I'm a vegetarian and I don't even know that Tongol Tuna or Talapia is, it's all far too gourmet for me. But Mickey likes them and that's what matters.

Flaked Skipjack Tuna Appetizer in a Delicate Broth - This may be number one. Fishy smell and in a great flaked style I buy this more often than any other.

White Meat Chicken & Flaked Tuna Appetizer in a Delicate Broth - This is number two for Mickey, it has the texture he loves and he likes chicken second only to Turkey and Fish.

Steamed Tilapia Appetizer in a Delicate Broth - This looks a little strange to me, but it passes muster with Mickey. He ate it up.

Tender Tongol Tuna Appetizer in a Delicate Broth - This is a chunky appetizer but very soft and Mickey had no trouble eating the chunks.

Seabass & Shrimp Appetizer in a Delicate Broth - Actual little shrimp along with chunks of fish make this one special. I should probably hide it from my husband or he will think it's for him.

Steamed Wild Alaskan Salmon Appetizer in a Delicate Broth -More fish, not as colorful as some of the others but it must be very tasty as Mickey inhales it.

White Meat Chicken Appetizer in a Delicate Broth - This one has nice soft pieces of chicken like you prepared it yourself from leftovers. Mickey loves it.

White Meat Chicken & Shredded Beef Appetizer in a Delicate Broth - Very delicious. Mickey likes beef and does not get beef cat food too often, so this is something special.

It may seem a little indulgent to buy such special foods for your cat, but the delight Mickey showed in that first sample left no doubt in my mind that Fancy Feast Appetizers are well worth the price.
