Fangoria Magazine Announces Fangoria Radio on SIRIUS Satellite Radio
The Leader in Horror Entertainment Has a New Radio Show
Catering to a widely diverse crowd of fans and horror fanatics, Fangoria magazine has recently made the move to satellite radio, offering the public another form of media with which to satisfy their appetite for horror and film.
Broadcast exclusively on SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Fangoria Radio is a weekly 3-hour show airing on Friday evenings from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM, on channel 102. Horror fans should certainly be familiar with the main host of the show, Dee Snider, and his co-host, scream queen Debbie Rochon.
Dee Snider, a native of Long Island, NY and once the frontman for the heavy metal band Twisted Sister, also directed and starred in the horror film Strangeland, and has been active in the horror community for a long time. Debbie Rochon has starred in numerous B-movies and scream queen flicks. Together, they offer insight, opinions, and news about all things related to horror, and weekly studio guests will include notable actors, directors, and other celebrities, and topics will be diverse, from reviews of movies and television shows to dark fashions.
The blend of Fangoria Magazine and Fangoria Radio shows that horror-related entertainment, once laughed at by studios and book publishers alike, is now being taken more seriously, as the market for horror movies has increased tenfold. This is mainly due to an influx of well-made horror movies and updated remakes of classic horror films, gaining new audiences and channeling lots of big bucks for movie studios.
Of course, for every good horror flick, there is a smattering of bad ones, but thanks to a forum such as Fangoria Radio and SIRIUS Satellite Radio, as well as the internet, horror fans will now be further able to speak their mind about what needs to change in the horror community, so that good quality horror can continue to get the widespread release and recognition it deserves, instead of often being overlooked.
Fangoria Radio serves to further introduce the concepts of horror-related entertainment to wider audiences, and with energetic hosts such as Dee Snider and Debbie Rochon, who both certainly feel very passionate about the genre, Fangoria Radio is certain to be a reliable, resourceful, and entertaining program, forcing everyone to reconsider horror films as more than just a cheap scare.
