Fans Bid a Final Farewell to Michael Jackson

The hearse in which the body of Michael Jackson lay, arrived this morning in Los Angeles, California at the Staple Center where a public memorial is being held today.

Los Angeles Police have estimated that there will be around 250,000 people standing outside of the Staples Center on the sidewalks to offer their last respects and condolences to the family of the King of Pop Icon Michael Jackson. There were over 8,000 tickets that were given away to lucky fans across the world that will be attending the public memorial of Michael Jackson. The memorial is being broadcast live on all of the major television networks as well as in 85 theaters in the United States.

Shortly after noon on Thursday, June 25, 2009, paramedics were called to the home of Pop Star Icon Michael Jackson when he had stopped breathing. Two hours later at UCLA Medical Center. Jackson was pronounced dead. It is said that Michael Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and that paramedics had tried for over an hour to resuscitate him but never could bring him back. Michael Jackson had arrived at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles in a coma and never regained consciousness.

    Great reporting, not a huge fan of the sensationalized media blitz over this- I mean we didnt even get any real Fourth Of July stuff because he died...ugh

    Excellent reporting. My wife recorded this so we could see it after work, and I must say that I was impressed with the respect his fans showed during the thing (call me the cynic that I am, but I figger'd it's just blow up into some gauche media circus). I gotta admit, it went off real classy, and for that I am thankful!
