RadarOnline is reporting that Fantasia Barrino admitted in a North Carolina courtroom on November 22 that she had an abortion right around the time of her attempted suicide this past August.

Just three months ago, Fantasia attempted to take her own life when apparently learning she had been named in a suit filed by Paula Cook who alleged that Fantasia had carried on an 11-month affair with her husband, Antwaun.

The whole suicide event was shocking enough, but then just two days after being released from a hospital in North Carolina, Fantasia was seen talking with Antwaun Cook while they were filming her reality series, Fantasia For Real.

Such a quick rebound from suicide to working and then promoting a new album later in August caused many to wonder if Fantasia had staged the suicide to gain publicity to help her sagging musical career.

And then after a few quiet months, Fantasia's name was in the news again as she faced Paula Cook on November 1 in a Mecklenburg County Court in North Carolina. Paula had filed a complaint in court that Fantasia was a 'home wrecker' and had been the cause of the breakup of her marriage with Antwaun Cook.

Apparently, the 12 hour session on the 1st did not go very well as the two women tied to Antwaun were unable to settle their differences.

RadarOnline reported that a source inside the court told them that Barrino admitted she had become pregnant by Antwaun in August and chose to have an abortion.

The gossip website also stated that Fantasia faces the possibility of being sued by Paula Cook for 'alienation of affection', a law which is recognized in seven states which allows the spouse who has been abandoned to file a lawsuit again the person responsible for the failure of his or her marriage.
