Fantasy Baths: Sensual Bliss for Your Body and Bath

Candida Bohnne-Eittreim
As a woman, I find I have precious little time to pamper myself. I think this is true for most working moms, whether they stay at home to raise their children or go out to work. Yet we all know that these little luxuries can help us keep on keepin' on, through screaming kids, irate husbands and all the other things that just drain us by day's end. During our current tough economic times, it can be enormously difficult to justify spending money purely on ourselves. One night I visited www.fantasybath.com and was delighted to discover a wide range of wholly natural and beautifully fragranced products for the body and bath.

I was introduced to the site through a fellow writer at Shared Reviews-Denise Blackwell, who along with her husband Mark, own Fantasy Bath. She explained that each and every product was carefully hand tested and chosen using only the finest ingredients. Shea Butter, Dead Sea Salts, aloe, Sunflower and Soy oils, plus a plethora of herbs. No petroleum by products are used in her formulas. And each of her fragrances are custom blended, after Denise meets with her product designer Anthony. Not only are their family members totally involved in the production of these fine bath and body products, Denise employs special needs folks in her warehouse. All of this speaks to the character and integrity of this woman.

Where to start? The Dead Sea Bath Salts are simply glorious. They come in a big choice of fragrances, or you can get them unscented. I tried Neptune last night. The fragrant bubbles and cool blue waters were a relaxing treat after a long days work. There were no undissolved grains underfoot and the steaming water enveloped my aching body in scented comfort. Dead Sea salts come from Israel, where millions of visitors come to benefit from the mineral rich waters. Thankfully we don't have to go that far to get the same treatment here at home. They are medically proven to be of help to anyone suffering with arthritis or psoriasis. I can personally attest from long experience that they do indeed help ease aching arthritic joints.

The prices are very reasonable:

9 ounce bag $6.90
1 pound bag $9.75
3 pound bag $26.00
If you want to double your bubbles, you can do so for $1.00 more

If you want or need extra moisturizing in your bath, you can drop a Bath Melt into your water. These little treats are cunningly wrapped like candies and come in a tiny gift box. of 3, or the larger half pound box. I just love the way these gently soften your skin without leaving a greasy film. The box of three costs $6.95, while the half pound box will be $12.95. These would be adorable stuffed in a stocking at Christmas!

The Shea Butters are amazing. I tried Bliss first-a soft herbal/floral. Its light texture surprised me, as I'm used to a thicker heavier feeling in a body butter. But this is something else! I tested it on my bare arm for over 10 hours. When I compared it to my untreated arm, the difference was very obvious. The treated arm was noticeably more supple and much softer. There was no residual greasiness or stickiness as it penetrates the skin immediately. Used daily, your skin improves significantly. For a mere $7.50 a jar, this is a best buy. As with Denises other items, the Shea Body Butter can be had with a big variety of fragrances. Here are my particular favorites:

Bliss
Voodoo Bayou
Petal To the Metal
Desert Rose
Scherazade

There are so many wonderful products in this line, I could take up reams of text writing about them. Instead, I recommend you go and see for yourself what wonderful treats Fantasy Baths has waiting for you. This is an American company, producing excellent products right here at home. The pride of product and care that go into making each and every bath bar or body butter shows. It gives me great pride to introduce a company that bases itself on the old fashioned American values of honesty, integrity and concern for the welfare of others.

So you talk about how were in a economic crisis yet, you add another thing to put on our list of bills to pay. Is this a friendly advice or is this soliciting your friends product to people who thought this was an article to help us relax. By the way let's use more friendly words when you say screaming kids and irate husband!

Denise, I'm so pleased with your products and use them every day. Being allergic to sulfites creates enormous difficulties for me both in skin care products and in foods and wines. It is wonderful to discover an affordable line of lovely good things for my skin, that have such wonderful scents. and.. the honor is all mine my friend:)

Thank you so much for the kind words and being such an amazing friend, Candida. I am so glad that you got some relief using the dead sea salts and the shea creams. I'm a product junkie and suspected that good stuff didn't have to cost a fortunate and was always worried about those long chemical names on the back of labels. Going back to proven plant butters, waxes and extracts is the secret and all that other stuff is to make the product either look a certain way or a cheap way to give it a lot longer shelf life. Unfortunately, some of those things like parabens and sulfates penetrate the skin and it can irritate, especially sensitive skin.

I am also fortunate to live close to the US rep for one of the best dead salt companies that import directly from Israel. So I know the product is uncut (which unfornuately happens), and can guarantee the purity of the salt. Which means a lot to me or I wouldn't sell it.

Once again, thank you. It is an honor to be counted among your friends.

Life is full of mysteries little and big, no doubt at all. The company's name sounds familiar but I can't recall it. It must be from someone very close to you, if it did impress you that much. Thanks so much for your prompt reply, and allow me to stress how much your article impressed me.

The others that arrived at Christmas were from a company called Ahava. I'm just now running out which is really a good indicator of the quality of the products there. Actually I got teased by family members, because I kept asking who was the one who sent this gift.It was gift wrapped so beautifully in red and gold, I was certain it had to be someone very close to me. Ah... life's little mysteries.

Oh from that same company I guess, and how long did it last?

  • Candida Bohnne-Eittreim6/30/2008

They are a real treat and very affordable. But, I especially love this company because of their pro environmental attitude and ethics. Dead Sea Salts are enormously popular here. They are extremely beneficial and totally natural. Last Christmas, Fed Ex delivered a brightly wrapped package of Dead Sea Salt treats. Though beautifully wrapped, I never found out who sent them.

That's a real discovery, I didn't know that the Dead Sea salts are so popular in the States. A great article thank you for the practical info and the tips. I'll visit that website. I may enjoy such a bath myself.
