Keepers are defined as players who should be started but are not generally a first round pick. Sleepers are guys that are left on the waiver wire or sitting on someone's bench. Both are worth a look at when deciding who to start for your team.
1) Santana Moss - This guy gets no respect even though he's had a TD in his last four games going back to last season. Moss is a favorite target of QB Jason Campbell. And against Arizona look for Moss's streak to reach number 5 though I don't think he will post the yardage he got last week.
2) Deven Hester... just kidding Lee Evans - Buffalo's matchup this week could produce great numbers for a few Bills. Included in that list is Lee Evans who gets no respect and even went undrafted in one of my leagues. This guy will get a TD in week 3. The Bills are better than people think.
3) Roy Williams - Calvin Johnson has been getting all the glory lately. Look for Williams to step it up for a two TD performance against an OK San Fran defense. I just traded for Williams and look for him to post decent numbers this week and beyond. Kitna is a great quarterback in the mold of Brett Farve. He will get the ball to his receivers... and make a mistake or two doing it.
4) Patrick Crayton - On the Dallas Cowboys. The scoring should be high and TO will do great but look to Crayton to get some serious red zone looks. Witten is banged up and Crayton is a reliable WR2. His numbers should be decent including at least one TD.
5) Eddie Royal - Brandon Marshall is back and we all get that. However, look for Jay Cutler to spread the ball around to Royal. Eddie has turned out to be a trustworthy receiver as evident by his two catches at the end of the game against San Diego. Look for decent numbers this week.
6) Chad Johnson - This guy is mad his career stats are going down. Look for Palmer and friends to come through with more typical numbers akin to last year's performance. Last week's game was ridiculously windy and the passing game was hurt because of it. Johnson may be spotted on a few benches so look for him and make a trade.
7) Braylon Edwards - I'm not kidding, I just traded for Braylon Edwards for David Patten, a guy I picked up off the FA pool. People are seriously mad that his numbers are not up to par. Patience is a virtue and Edwards will reward. Get him and play him. You will thank me.
8) Donald Driver - There will be another shootout this week involving Dallas. Jennings will put up great numbers but I predict a 2 TD performance from Donald Driver. Rodgers has all the tools in place to make the playoffs and Driver should still be getting the ball.
9) Reggie Bush - He should put up decent running yardage and maybe even find a rushing TD this week. However that is not the reason to start him. For all intensive purposes Bush is the WR1 for Drew Brees. I say start him and watch him kill on reception yardage especially if you are in a PPR league, this guy is a must start. Not bad for a fourth or fifth rounder.
10) Wes Welker - I know his stock was supposed to go down when Brady got hurt. That's a bunch of crap. In PPR leagues you should grab him and start him. He will have a monster game against Miami this week in part because Randy Moss and Cassel will not be able to replicate the Brady/Moss synergy.
