Quarterbacks
Looking through the league this year I see a couple of very interesting things at the quarterback position. First is Donovan McNabb, with Mike Shanahan as the head coach I think this offense will truly blossom. You may ask where he's going to throw the ball, but where did he throw it in Philly went he put up all those great numbers? I like the duo of McNabb and Portis. Next let's go to Carson Palmer; like McNabb he is not in the top 10 in most draft leagues. Look out for Palmer this year, he is healthy and has added Owens, now Owens is not what he used to be but I think he will boost Palmers numbers. Finally, let's head out to Oakland, yeah that's right, Oakland. Jason Campbell is going to start there this year and I think he may put up some numbers. In their first preseason game Campbell really took shots down the field which can mean huge fantasy numbers.
Running Backs
Don't ask me why, but Marion Barber of Dallas is not in the top 20 of most fantasy rankings. Granted, Barber is not the greatest stat guy but he does put up some numbers and can certainly help a team. Next is Clinton Portis, or whoever starts for the Washington Redskins. I don't think it matters who is in the Redskins backfield because Shanahan is an offensive genius - remember how many 1,000 yard rushers the Broncos had in his days there. Finally let's go to Detroit where a rookie running back could be a steal. Jahvid Best could be a superstar. He has great speed and quickness and could give NFL defenses fits. If he stays healthy as a rookie I think he's a star.
Receivers
I think many of us saw it last year in the playoffs, Pierre Garcon of Indianapolis is a superstar in the making. He reminds me of a young T.O. but with better hands and he has Peyton Manning throwing him the ball. Next is Dez Bryant, I think he is easily the Cowboys Number two receiver and maybe number one by the end of the year, most draft boards have him in the 30's range. Finally is Santana Moss of Washington. He is ranked in the upper 20's on most draft boards but, again, I like Washington's offense. I think Moss could return to his great numbers of years past.
