Fantasy Football 2010 Week 17: NFL Best Start/Sit Tight Ends Q&A Updated 12-31
Last Weekend of Fantasy Football is Marked by Critical Decisions
Three Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Start in Week 17 of Fantasy Football
Marcedes Lewis: Jacksonville Jaguars
Marcedes Lewis is looking to set his touchdown mark and in this last game of the NFL season he will be looking to score. Lewis is a big man in the middle and he matches up well against the Houston Texans defense over the middle. He was limited to 53 yards against the Houston Texans in their first game but Lewis will be on track in this game. Start Marcedes Lewis in all fantasy football leagues unless there is a top five fantasy football tight end on the roster.
Visanthe Schiancoe: Minnesota Vikings
It will not matter who is under center for Visanthe Schiancoe to have a big game in the last week of fantasy football. Schiancoe is a tight end that not only hauls in an off target throw, he is also a big banger once he turns up field and runs. Not many secondary players look forward to tackling Schiancoe in the open field. Start Visanthe Schiancoe in most fantasy football leagues unless there is a top five fantasy football tight end on the roster.
Zach Miller: Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders have their number one tight end Zach Miller back in the line up and the addition of Miller as an offensive weapon opens up this defense. Miller is a sure handed tight end with a nose for the goal line and this is the type of tight end fantasy football owners love. Miller goes against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that is not strong over the middle. Start Zach Miller in most fantasy football leagues unless there is a top five fantasy football tight end on the roster.
Three Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Sit in Week 17 of Fantasy Football
Todd Heap: Baltimore Ravens
Todd Heap is tough but he is not durable. Heap's ability to take hits while running routes over the middle has taken it's toll on the hard nosed tight end and his season is all but over. Heap has been plagued by many injuries this season his hamstring has been the major issue. Sit Todd Heap in most fantasy football leagues unless the next best option ranks 14th or less among fantasy football tight ends.
Tony Scheffler: Detroit Lions
Disappointing is the best description of Tony Scheffler's 2010 fantasy football season. Scheffler has struggled through weekly changes at the quarterback position and the need for him to stay back and block in several key passing situations per game. Look for Scheffler to be busy blocking in this game against the Minnesota Vikings also. Sit Tony Scheffler in most fantasy football leagues unless the next best option ranks 16th or less among fantasy football tight ends.
Greg Olsen: Chicago Bears
Greg Olsen has found the end zone for the Chicago Bears and his fantasy football owners this season but this game against the Green Bay Packers may not be the best spot for him. Olsen has been inconsistent this year and a better option has to be found for the last week of fantasy football. Sit Greg Olsen in all fantasy football leagues unless the next best option ranks 18th or less among fantasy football tight ends.
