No.1 Andre Johnson: Houston Texans
Andre Johnson is still the number one fantasy football wide receiver despite the 2011 season that watched him drop to sixth among fantasy football receivers. Johnson is the right receiver to pick first and he will reward his fantasy football owners with his best season of his career.
No.2. Roddy White: Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and Roddy White were the best quarterback/ wide receiver combo in the NFL in 2010 and in 2011 they are destined to have some drop off as Ryan improves at spreading the ball around the field. White will see defenses move safety help to his side more in 2011 and his fantasy football numbers will take a slight dip. He is still a solid top five wide receiver pick.
No.3. Calvin Johnson: Detroit Lions
Matt Stafford the quarterback of the Detroit Lions has the potential to be a top ten quarterback in the 2011 NFL season. Calvin Johnson was already unstoppable with a wide array of quarterbacks under center for the Lions in 2010 and he can only get better for his fantasy football owners in 2011.
No.4. Mike Wallace: Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Wallace has ascended the ladder among wide receivers in the NFL and he will enter the 2011 NFL season with confidence. Wallace is the fastest receiver in the NFL and the flavor of the month when fantasy football drafts begin in August.
No.5. Miles Austin: Dallas Cowboys
Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys will rebound this season after struggling to reach his potential for fantasy football owners in 2010. Austin will once again be Tony Romo's favorite receiver in 2011.
No.6. Greg Jennings: Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers may lose some his confidence in Greg Jennings if he continues to drop key receptions in the 2011 season. Jennings is still Rodgers favorite but with Jermichael Finley back in the mix he may go Finley and others when he needs a clutch play.
No.7. Vincent Jackson: San Diego Chargers
Vincent Jackson's holdout dropped him in the rankings but keep an eye for Jackson to move up the fantasy football draft list for wide receivers. Once the collective bargaining agreement is settled it will be a given that Jackson will be a hot commodity on the free agent market.
No.8. Larry Fitzgerald: Arizona Cardinals
Many fantasy football owners are downgrading Fitzgerald since the Arizona Cardinals quarterback situation is still a mess. He is still the best player on the team but he will need a strong armed quarterback to justify him as a number one fantasy football receiver.
No.9. Reggie Wayne: Indianapolis Colts
Reggie Wayne is still Peyton Manning's go to guy on the Indianapolis Colts. He suffered from the drops in the 2010 NFL season and he hurt his fantasy football owners when he could not break free from the tougher cornerback match ups he faced.
No.10. DeSean Jackson: Philadelphia Eagles
DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles is exciting to watch but is he a number one fantasy football receiver. The answer is yes and no. Do not reach for Jackson too early. If someone nabs him in the first three rounds that is not a problem. they may get frustrated with low production early in the season and they may look to trade him.
No.11. Dwayne Bowe: Kansas City Chiefs
Fantasy football owners of Dwayne Bowe were rewarded with an amazing season in 2010. Do not expect Bowe to have the success he enjoyed last season. He will see more coverage variations and the defenses have a better book on him now.
No.12. Austin Collie: Indianapolis Colts
Health is the key for Austin Collie. Concussions in the NFL are never good news for players or their fantasy football owners. Three concussions in a short period of time makes for some scary scenarios for Collie in 2011. Another concussion early in the season for Collie could see him shelved for the entire season. Do not pass on him in the fourth or fifth round though. He is still worth the pick.
No.13. Marques Colston New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints will be on a mission in 2011. This team is still viable as a Super Bowl contender and Marques Colston is one of the best number one receivers in the NFL. As a fantasy football receiver Colston will not be a disappointment to fantasy football owners in the 2011 NFL season.
No.14. Sidney Rice Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are heading into a rebuilding process and they will be looking at a run first offense with powerhouse running back Adrian Peterson in backfield. Sidney Rice will get his catches this season but keep an eye on his health.
No.15. Mike Sims-Walker Jacksonville Jaguars
Although he isn't going to be a great number one or number two fantasy football wide receiver, Sims-Walker will be a serviceable receiver on a bye week.
No.16. Brandon Lloyd: Denver Broncos
Brandon Lloyd had a great season in 2010 but remember Eddie Royal struggled and Lloyd was the only receiver of merit on the Denver Broncos. He will experience a drop off but is a definite number two receiver pick.
No.17. Dez Bryant Dallas Cowboys
A hgih ankle sprain has stunted Bryant's development but he should be living up to legend of his 88 jersey when the 2011 fantasy football season begins. Take Dez Bryant as a second ot third receiver and he won't disappoint fantasy football owners.
No.18. Michael Crabtree San Francisco 49ers
If Michael Crabtree only had a quarterback that could throw as well as he can catch. Wasted talent in San Franciso. Maybe Frank Gore can pass on occasion. A tough player to put on any fantasy football team but based on his potential he should be a pick up in this spot.
No.19. Hakeem Nicks New York Giants
Scary pick up even in this spot. A fantasy football number three wide receiver at his worst but as the 18th best he may be a gamble.
No.20. Brandon Marshall Miami Dolphins
The Denver Broncos dumped Brandon Marshall and the Broncos trash is now the Miami Dolphins gold. Fantasy football owners should proceed with caution as to when they pick Marshall. He was a bitter disappointment last year and he has nowhere to go but up in 2011 fantasy football season.
No.21. Percy Harvin Minnesota Vikings
Migraines make him a sketchy pick. Great fantasy football numbers in 2009 but it is nerve racking having him a fantasy football team. He should improve on his disappointing 2010 numbers but be careful.
No.22. Santana Moss: Washington Redskins
Santana Moss is a great pick up in this spot. He should fall into this spot because of the unsettled quarterback situation. If Santana Moss is available as a third wide receiver later in a fantasy football draft he should be taken.
No.23. Anquan Boldin Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens offense was a disappointment last season as was Boldin. Look for the offense to improve and look for quarterback Joe Flacco and Boldin to work better this season. Still a gamble to pick early No. 22 is a good spot for him.
No.24. Jeremy Maclin: Philadelphia Eagles
DeSean Jackson is the fragile receiver in the Philadelphia offense. Maclin has been the reliable deep out route option for Michael Vick. Look for Maclin as a third and possibly sold fourth wide receiver for a fantasy football team.
No.25. Wes Welker: New England Patriots
Wes Welker's value goes up in Points Per Reception (PPR) fantasy football leagues. Welker is a smart receiver and now he is healthy on a team with young receivers. Welker will still be Tom Brady's go to guy in critical third and short situations.

Post a CommentI don't like the situation with Sims-Walker to be honest. I believe there will be more opportunity for Nicks than for Sims-Walker in 2011. If I were in line with everyone else how could anyone tell how good I am? BTW, I don't just look at statistics down the line I take plenty of other issues into acount. Possible quarterback upheaval, free agent signings and possible trades that are in the works but cannot be completed until the CBA is finalized. Don't get caught up in statistics--it is a sure way to lose a fantasy football league.
Your WR picks are crazy... just to point out one... Hakim Nicks below Mike Simms Walker... Everyone has thier opinion... but a few seem way off.
