According to ESPN.com's fantasy football page, a top running back for fantasy football owners is out. Their injury update has listed Arian Foster of the Texans as not being able to play as of the morning of Sunday, Sept. 11.
Foster was listed as questionable prior to the game on Saturday night but he will be inactive according to Chris Mortensen, the venerable NFL analyst.
The Texans will likely start Derrick Ward in his place which makes him an excellent fantasy football pickup this morning.
Ward has a history of being fairly productive when inserted as a backup on other teams and the Texans' running game is solid.
Ben Tate also could play and Steve Slaton, a former fantasy football star in his own right, probably will play some on third downs.
Of these three Ward seems like the best pickup but there's always a chance either Tate or Slaton could emerge so fantasy football owners should keep an eye on this situation today as the Texans get set to play the Colts at home.
Once again, Arian Foster is inactive for the Colts matchup today so adjust your fantasy lineup accordingly as soon as possible.
