Fantasy Football Tips and Best Websites

Fantasy football is like a drug for some people. They spend hours and hours reviewing stats and player reviews so they can be the first to snatch up the best available player. There is news and projections on teams, players, and coaches. Practically everything is observed or commented on during football season.

I've compiled some tips that might help you have winning season in your fantasy football league. You might even win some good money or just bragging rights that prove to your friends and family that your the top dog. According to wikihow.com, taking the best player at his position doesn't mean more points. Injuries can happen to anyone at anytime. No matter how long you review that ranked list of players, it won't help your score when it comes down to game time. Those articles are published long before kick off time comes. Injuries and player news changes daily.

You can keep up on the latest news by reading your local newspaper or going on NFL.com. The key is to draft a well balanced team, but have a Plan B because most of the time your players will not perform the way they are expected. Always save choosing your Defense, Tight End and Kicker till last. You want a strong roster of Running Backs. Stack your team with the best you can get. Then you will need a starting Quarterback that will not break records, but has a good lineup of Receivers. Good receivers means more catches and more touchdowns.

Then, pick #2 or #3 receivers that you feel will make a few catches each game. That is better than just going after only the best. Don't waste your best picks on receivers. Finish with your Defense, Tight end and Kicker picks respectively. Stay away from picking players on the same team because if the weather is bad or a team has an off week that weakens your winning percentage. You should have a diverse team and knowing when your players are on a Bye week is huge. If two or more of your starters have the same Bye week then that hurts your team.

Some of the best websites for free fantasy Football are CBSsportsline.com, ESPN.com and Yahoosports.com.
