Fantasy Football Week 5: Players to Add from Waivers

Rex Banner
This is a big week for waivers in the fantasy football world. There have been several injuries in the first few weeks of the 2010 NFL season, which opens the door for increased playing time for some back-up players. Randy Moss will once again be a Minnesota Viking (read more here) which will shift things around in New England a bit. See which Patriot you should add, along with other players who could score some nice fantasy football points. I do not rank the players, as individual fantasy football team needs are different. If you want rankings, click here. Be sure to check back each week to see who looks good in the fantasy football world. I hope you beat your competition to the 'Add' button for some of these potential gold mines!

Brandon Tate - Wide Receiver - New England Patriots: With Randy Moss now heading to Minnesota, Tate should see some extra time. His performance on Monday night adds to the appeal of acquiring this talented young receiver, if he is still available.

Mike Bell - Running Back - Philadelphia Eagles: LeSean McCoy has a fractured rib, so Bell should see a significantly increased roll. Also, with Michael Vick nursing some sort of upper rib injury, he won't be able to take rushing yards and touchdowns away from Bell.

Fred Jackson - Running Back - Buffalo Bills: Marshawn Lynch was traded to the Seattle Seahawks, which will give Jackson more carries. He should be the primary back, but will share carries with rookie C.J. Spiller. This is not a very productive offense right now, but he will still get several carries.

Marshawn Lynch - Running Back - Seattle Seahawks: Lynch should be the lead back in Seattle. Pick him up, as the Seahawks have soft schedule for running backs. He could become a fixture in your lineup.

Kevin Kolb - Quarterback - Philadelphia Eagles: Kolb is back in the starter's slot with Michael Vick's injury. The Eagles have multiple talented targets, so Kolb should put up some decent numbers. He is not the runner that Vick is, so don't count on huge games.

Ryan Torain - Running Back - Washington Redskins: Clinton Portis is out with an injury, so Torain should pick up where he left off last week when Portis left the game. This is a short-term play for now, but if Portis has a severe injury, Torain's stock will soar!
