Fantasy Hockey 2010: Crosby, Malkin, and Me

...cupcakes were everywhere

chocolate cupcakes, small cakes, raspberry filled

little cakes with white icing and colored sprinkles on top

then there were the pies

pumpkin, apple, and the favorite, blueberry

from there, I'm on the ice skating towards the net

Crosby to Malkin, Malkin shoots, kick save

I'm on the rebound and lift one over the goalie's shoulder

Goal!

High fives and hugs

I'm on the big screen seconds later with the replay

When I return to the ice minutes later, and we're up two to one over the Flyers,

Pronger and Briere check me into the boards

My gloves are off but my buddies, mighty Max Talbot and Matt Cooke step in to take out the thugs

Cooke pounds on Pronger and gets the penalty, while Crosby holds me back from smashing some face

On a power play in the third period, I get tripped by Matt Carle, recover in time to get Malkin's pass, and score the decisive goal with two forty three left in the game

The sun is shining through the verticals, and the digital clock reads 6:57

The dream is over, time to get up and make some coffee, get the kids breakfast and ready for school, and make myself ready for another eight hour, fun filled day of labor at the regular ho-hum job.
