CENTRE:
Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim Ducks): On Oct. 25th, 2007, Getzlaf did not play in the game against the Phoenix Coyotes due to an injured wrist.
TIP: Keep Getzlaf, as he will be back very soon, and will continue to provide scoring for the Ducks.
Martin Straka (New York Rangers): Straka broke his finger blocking a shot against Zdeno Chara last Saturday.
TIP: Look for Straka to be out for over a month, if you have room on your IR, go ahead and place him there. He is a valuable asset for the Rangers. Getting rid of him might be a big reward for another Manager.
Alexander Steen (Toronto Maple Leafs): Steen has been a bit of a streak. Having 9 points in 11 games.
TIP: The Toronto Maple Leafs will rely heavily on Steen's play this season, especially with Darcy Tucker out with an injury now.
Mike Modano (Dallas Stars): Recent struggles has him busted down to the fourth line for tonight's games.
TIP: Drop him now, if you feel confident in your team, but he will eventually start putting the puck into the net.
Saku Koivu (Montreal Canadiens): Koivu has 10 points in 9 games, with a majority of the points coming on the power play.
TIP: Play Koivu over your other centres, as he is producing consistently.
Tomas Plekanec (Montreal Canadiens): Plekanec has 13 points this season, along with Koivu, Plekanec will be a top producer for the Habs.
TIP: Pick him up, as he will be the sleeper pick.
Kris Draper (Detroit Red Wings): A third liner, producing, with a few penalty minutes. 5 goals and 1 assist this season.
TIP: If you feel no centre is doing anything, pick up Draper as he will get penalty minutes, face off wins, and notch a couple of goals here and there.
Dainius Zubrus (New Jersey Devils): Him and teammate Patrick Elias are struggling, they will need help.
TIP: Zubrus will be skating with struggling teammate Patrick Elias tonight, look forward to a big night.
LEFT WING
Fredrik Modin (Columbus Blue Jackets): A groin injury has made him miss six straight games.
TIP: Not worth a spot on your roster, as his return is not known.
Alex Tanguay (Calgary Flames): Producing almost a point a game with Jarome Iginla.
TIP: Iginla and Tanguay might be getting some chemistry together, try to acquire both, especially if Huselius gets onto that line.
Dean McAmmond (Ottawa Senators): A hurt shoulder, won't play tonight.
TIP: Drop him, as he will not be up there on the top Sens lines.
Simon Gagne (Philadelphia Flyers): After a hit by Jay Bouwmeester, Gagne felt some dizziness. Possible concussion, but will not find out until tests are done.
TIP: Keep Gagne, he started getting his scoring touch back, and he will sure come back on a talented Flyers team and score.
Sergei Samsonov (Chicago Blackhawks): 2 assists and a minus-6, Samsonov will be a healthy scratch tonight.
TIP: Samsonov's days in the NHL might be over.
Gary Roberts (Pittsburgh Penguins): Out with a sickness.
TIP: Not worth a spot on your roster.
David Koci (Chicago Blackhawks): Bloodied after a fight with Zdeno Chara.
TIP: Put on the IR, but when he comes back, add him for penalty minutes.
Slava Kozlov (Atlanta Thrashers): After being fairly consistent in his career, Kozlov is off to a slow start.
TIP: Just like the Thrashers, Kozlov is starting off slow, but don't give up on him.
Pavol Demitra (Minnesota Wild): Demitra missed practice due to an injured groin.
TIP: Keep him if you like points.
Raffi Torres (Edmonton Oilers): 6 points and 18 penalty minutes.
TIP: Torres can provide points here and there, and a lot of PIMs when he gets mad.
Jiri Tlusty (Toronto Maple Leafs): 2 goals in his first NHL game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
TIP: It's not worth picking him up for another young gun.
RIGHT WING:
Milan Hejduk (Colorado Avalanche): Bad back has made him miss four of the last five games.
TIP: Hejduk should be returning soon, so don't give up hope. He has shown his scoring touch.
Mark Recchi (Pittsburgh Penguins): Although having 7 points this season, Recchi continues to be a minus player.
TIP: Keep him if you're desperate for points because he will eventually pick up his pace, like he has in his career.
Todd Bertuzzi (Anaheim Ducks): Lingering concussion symptoms has stopped his season so far, with the Ducks.
TIP: 8 points in 7 games, good numbers but hard to know when he'll be back.
Maxim Afinogenov (Buffalo Sabres): Scoreless in his last five games.
TIP: Head Coach Lindy Ruff will be giving Afinogenov a chance, and likely won't drop to the fourth line.
Chris Clark (Washington Capitals): 4 points in the last 2 games.
TIP: He might be good if you need to fill a right wing position.
Ales Hemsky (Edmonton Oilers): 7 points in 10 games.
TIP: He'll score goals but will not produce a point a game.
Marian Hossa (Atlanta Thrashers): In a very little slump.
TIP: No need to panic, Hossa is an elite player.
DEFENCE:
Brett Clark (Colorado Avalanche): With 4 points this season, Clark will continue to notch points here and there for the Avalanche.
TIP: Clark is well worth a spot on your roster.
Adrian Aucoin (Calgary Flames): After a disappointing season last year, Aucoin has done fairly well in Calgary.
TIP: A defencemen to pick over your other defencemen.
Darius Kasparaitis (New York Rangers): Kaspar will be leaving the NHL to go play in the Russian Elite League.
Jaroslav Spacek (Buffalo Sabres): Spacek will miss his fifth straight game with a shoulder injury.
TIP: The Sabres will have a 5 day rest, so Spacek may return on Thursday.
Tom Poti (Washington Capitals): Only 2 points this season with his new team.
TIP: Poti will be okay if you receive points from your other defencemen.
Jordan Leopold (Colorado Avalanche): He will be out two months or so, while getting wrist surgery.
TIP: Drop immediately.
Pavel Kubina (Tampa Bay Lightning): 7 points and 14 PIMS.
TIP: Kubina might be worth that big contract for the Leafs and a spot on your roster.
GOALIE:
Mathieu Garon (Los Angeles Kings): Garon will likely play tonight, but is a decent back up.
TIP: Pick him up if the other 30 starting goalie are taken.
Tomas Vokoun: Three rough starts, Vokoun has a .905 save percentage.
TIP: Vokoun is a good goalie, but he may suffer playing the Florida Panthers.
Jose Theodore: A few good games, has Theodore getting a chance to be the number one for the Avalanche.
TIP: A good pick up, but be very careful with his inconsistency.

Post a Comment"J. Theo" WAS on the Avs back in 2007 when I originally wrote this.
J. Theo is on the Caps, not the Avalanche.
You're hilarious.
Give yourself a pat on the back for making the wittiest comment in the universe.
Does anyone actually play fantasy hockey???? Give me a break.
