Somewhere in the night,
Summer has stolen away.
Now, as morning breaks,
Sultry days and sticky nights
Have taken their leave; farewell!

Short and sweet!
Very nice, Mike.
Very nice, Mike.
Wonderful! I'm glad the heat is gone!
I enjoyed your tanka for Fall! We are so appreciative that cool weather has arrived for us after such a long hot summer.
Beautiful cadence.
The picture makes me want to lay in a field and watch the clouds go by and the poem reminds me of how time marches on and stops for no man. Very thought provoking.
Well done! I love fall.
