Farmer Markets in Southern New Jersey

Julie Wimmer
New Jersey is known for tomatoes and corn, and when the weather starts to get warm, the Farmer Markets pop up all over the place. Below find some great Farmer Markets for you to visit in Southern New Jersey.

Moods Farm Market
901 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill

Open from June to Thanksgiving. Check website for hours. Cherries is their big seller. They also have pick your own blueberries, plums, peaches, nectarines and blackberries. Check for festivals, hayrides and birthday party packages. Their market also sells cider, pumpkins, vegetables etc...

Johnson's Farm in Medford
133 Church Road

This farm is large and beautiful and can't be missed on its corner spot. Depending on the season, there is all kinds of fruit and vegetable picking, a pumpkin patch in the Fall, a Discovery Barnyard with plenty of action for kids, an animal farm where you can pet animals and so much more. They can host your special events and birthday parties. They also, of course, have hay rides.

Duffield's Farm in Sewell
280 Chapel Heights Road

They have a wonderful market with home-made salads, seasonal fruits and vegetables, deli meats and bakery goods. Depending on the season, you can get pumpkins or Easter eggs. They have a place where you can feed animals (through tubes though, no contact), veggies and fruits you can pick and host parties and events. They also have a Learning Barn which is great for field trips.

Columbus Farmers Market
Mount Holly, New Jersey
Off of Tinker Drive between High Street and Woodlane

Not only can you find produce, this is also a huge flea market that sells Amish goods and food, discounted clothing and accessories, lunch to eat while you are there and so much more. It is a big place, so plan on staying a while.

You do get around Julie. You are in the sector of the nation where so many states are smallish and allow you to hit them all in the time it would take me to drive to the Louisiana border, about 4 hrs.
