Farmers Markets Around Fort Worth, Texas

I personally shop at these farmers markets, especially in the summer. A great benefit of shopping at these markets is that you are supporting your local farmers. Also, in this day of recalls from salmonella and E. coli, etc., it's better to know where your food it coming from.

Cowtown Farmers Market

http://www.cowtownfarmersmarket.com

Located west of Fort Worth on highway 80W. They are open every Saturday from 8 until 12. Everything sold here is grown within 150 miles of the city. They sell everything from lettuce, sweet potatoes, herbs, plants, cut flowers, jams, jellies, goat cheese, granola, breads and baked goods, coffee, handmade soaps and soy candles, just to name a few.

Weatherford Farmers Market

217 Fort Worth Hwy, Weatherford, Texas

Located just 15 minutes west of Fort Worth, and only a few blocks from the courthouse square. They have great seasonal fresh fruit, flowers, vegetables, plants, jams, jellies and eggs. Some seasonal favorites include the Black Diamond watermelon and their famous Parker County peaches. They also offer a wide variety of crafts made by local artists.

Ridgemar Farmers Market

900 Alta Mere Drive, Fort Worth, Texas

They have a bar-b-que restaurant on site. They offer fruits, vegetables, jams, jellies, plants and planting flowers. They also sell crafts, pottery and knick-nacks by local artists. This store is open year round, 7 days a week from 8am to 7pm.

All these markets offer competitive prices. Remember that helping out the local farmers helps to spur our local economy. The benefits of fresh produce can beat grocery store any time.
