The Delaware County General Health District has declared that all farmers markets are non-smoking.
All of Delaware County's farmers markets participate in the Senior Farmers Market Voucher program sponsored by the Council for Older Adults of Delaware County. Delaware County residents who are age 60 or older and meet income guidelines are eligible to receive up to thirty $2 vouchers that can be spent with approved farmers market food vendors.
Vendors interested in accepting the vouchers should contact the Council at 740-363-7777 for approval, a vendor number and reimbursement procedures.
Main Street Delaware Farmers Market - Wednesday 3-6 PM and Saturday 9:30-12:30 PM
Lining the streets of downtown Delaware, OH the Main Street Delaware Farmers Market brings locally grown produce and baked goods as well as handcrafted items to one central location. The market will begin Saturday May 22 and run through Saturday October 30, 2010.
Sponsored by Main Street Delaware, Inc., the vendor fee is $10 per week and includes both Saturday and Wednesday. Interested vendors should contact Main Street director Frances Hamilton at 740-816-3859 or market manager Linda Shearer at 740-363-1185 for vendor regulations.
The Original Delaware Farmer's Market - Saturday 9 AM - Noon
Held in the Jugette Barn at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, this farmers market features produce, honey and baked goods.
Sunbury Farmers Market on the Square - Saturday 9 AM - Noon
Vendors line the walkways of the Sunbury Square bringing homegrown and homemade to the village. Honey, eggs, crafts, baked goods and local produce are featured.
The weekly fee is $10. Contact the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce at 740-965-2860 for more information.
Downtown Powell Farmers Market - Thursday 3-6 PM
The parking lot for the City of Powell Municipal Building at 47 Hall Street is the location for this farmers market. Vendors offer fresh produce, baked goods and crafts beginning June 3, 2010.
Booth fees range from $22 to $44 per week, payable to Historic Downtown Powell, Inc. For more information visit their website at VisitPowell.com.
