Halloween Decor for Online Farms
During the Halloween season, online farmers can add scary touches to their FarmTown or Farmville farms in the form of haunted houses, corn field mazes, and ghosts and goblins. Players in both farming games can "buy" items for their farms as well as send creepy gifts to their friends for their farms. However, no farmer wants to be outdone!
FarmTown has a large selection of Halloween decor this year that doesn't require a player's "farm cash" and can be sent as gifts. They are offering the usual ghosts, pumpkins and candy baskets, but also haunted farmhouses and barns, skeleton scarecrows, witches stirring brew in caldrons, skeletons in coffins, a skeleton couple on a bench, witches legs sticking up from the earth, spiders, gargoyles and more! Yes, in FarmTown there is no shortage of Halloween touches for your farm!.
Farmville offers the option of building a Spine-Chilling Haunted House and collecting candy through gifts, kept in a pumpkin basket. As the loot accumulates, it can be traded for ghastly farm items. Players can select from a pumpkin topiary, skele-scarecrow, scared ewe, candied gnome, a bat tree (my favorite), or a pumpkin house (the better items require more loot traded). Farmville offers a gargoyle, cat-o-lantern, witch scarecrow and autumn fences for farm coins, but a wider selection of cooler Halloween items for farmcash. Real cash will be involved if you want to decorate using their haunted tower, spooky cave, spooky bush or pumpkin fountain. You can plant candy corn (who knew?) and this year you can even dress your game avatar in a Halloween costume, paying coins for some and farmcash for others.
The storage options in both games will allow you to store away Halloween items once the goblins have retreated, which is a good idea, since next year's items may be different! I saved my "dreadful" fencing from last year's Farmville Halloween items, and reused it this year, which makes my farm more original than some of my fellow farmers!
