Farmville is one of the most popular games on Facebook. Farmville is a simple game where you manage a farm that shouldn't need any cheats. Despite its easy gameplay, thousands of gamers are on a mission to find Farmville cheat codes. Do these elusive cheat codes exist? If they do, are they worth it? Here's a closer look at these supposed cheats for Farmville.

Paying for Farmville cheat codes
If you've searched for Farmville cheat codes, you might run into a few "entrepreneurs" trying to cash in on Farmville's popularity. They created a cheat code "secret guide" you can purchase that supposedly unlocks all the secret hacks to Farmville and will help you dominate Farmville in matter of days. Don't purchase it! Hacks, cheats, and these mysterious cheats do not exist in Farmville. These guides contain the same information you can find for free via an Internet search. The cheats are outdated
If you do find what seems like a legitimate Farmville cheat, chances are it's already been patched by Zynga. Cheats exploit loopholes in the game and once word gets out on the internet, it's all over blogs, YouTube, and message boards within hours. Naturally, the "cheat" gets back to the developer quickly and within days (or hours), the bug is fixed and the cheat no longer works.

Many "cheats" involve downloading a program to your computer
There's no code you can type in to magically gain XP and coins. Most of these cheats and hacks involve downloading a program and fooling around with the computer or game's memory. The cheats are complicated and often times need a script to run. Basically, what you're doing is hacking into the Farmville game platform and modifying code to bump up your stats, speed the game along, or using a bot to autoplay & harvest. This is a bad idea: Hacking into the game can get you banned from Farmville or, in some cases, Facebook itself. Not to mention, downloading a script opens up your computer to virus threats.

Farmville is a simple game. Using a cheat or hack is just not worth it
You're new to Farmville and you're jealous of your Level 50 neighbor with the Villa, greenhouse, and asparagus crops. It's understandable that you're envious, but relax! Part of Farmville's appeal is the process of leveling up and unlocking new items. Play enough and you'll get all those items too! There are plenty of other ways to get coins and level up the legitimate way, rather than using a cheat to artificially inflate your stats. Using a Farmville hack or cheat could get you banned from Farmville or kicked off Facebook. Is this simple game worth the risk? I don't think so. You're not even using a lot of hand/eye coordination in this game; it's just a lot of clicking. Farmville is an easy game anyone can play. Cheats are unnecessary.
