FarmVille for Facebook - The Vehicles
FarmVille currently has three vehicle types - tractor, seeder, and harvester. Each vehicle has the ability to plow, plant, or harvest from four plots simultaneously. Since multiple plots are completed at once, the process only take one-fourth the time of completing the task 'by hand'. Here is a complete list of all FarmVille vehicles:
Tractor - (available in red and pink)
Use: The tractor is used to plow fresh plots or prepare plots that have already been cleared of harvested or spoiled crops.
Cost: 30,000 coins
XP points: 300
Harvester
Use: The harvester can be used to harvest crops that are fully grown.
Cost: 30,000 coins
XP points: 300
Seeder
Use: The seeder is used to sow seeds. Seeds can only be planted in plots that have been plowed.
Cost: 30,000 coins
XP points: 300
Using Fuel in FarmVille for Facebook
Each vehicle in FarmVille needs fuel to operate. Once you have purchased your first vehicle, you will see a fuel meter in the bottom left-hand corner of your game window. When full, the meter will show 150 units of fuel available. This fuel is shared among all of the vehicles that you have purchased. Each task that a vehicle completes will use one unit of fuel per plot. For example, if a harvester gathers strawberries from four plots, your fuel count will decrease by four units.
Fuel takes time to regenerate. Once your fuel reserve is completely empty, it will take approximately 6 hours to completely fill your reserve. This can be a painfully slow process. The good thing is that you can still work your farm by hand. If you are tired of waiting for your fuel to refill, you can purchase additional refills from the market under the vehicle tab. Additional fuel can only be purchased with FarmVille cash. A single refill can be purchased for just 3 FarmVille dollars, however you will get more for your money by purchasing the larger refill packages.
Are the FarmVille vehicles on Facebook worth it?
The answer to this question depends entirely on your playing style. If you have a large Facebook farm, the additional farm equipment can be very beneficial. However, if you have a small farm or prefer to make money mostly from livestock and trees, vehicles may not be worth the money spent. Personally, I like to have the vehicles available just in case I need them.
Tip: Purchase just one vehicle to see if you like using them. It is better to waste 30,000 coins on a trial vehicle than spending 90,000 on the set only to find out you would prefer to do the work by hand.
FarmVille for Facebook is definitely time consuming. Luckily, the game provides you with things like vehicles to increase productivity. Hopefully, this guide will help you determine if the vehicles are right for your farm.
