Farmville on Facebook: Flower Crop Mastery Guide

Roses, Lillies, Lavender--oh My! Here's How to Master Farmville Flower Crops

Jessie Kay
Since October 2009, Zynga's Farmville on Facebook has added a variety of flowers to the crop assortment, allowing players to build pretty gardens within their farmland. The Crop Mastery option unlocks at Level 10, and lets players earn +1 mastery point with each crop plot harvested. Flower crops can be mastered just like the other crops. (View my other Farmville Crop Mastery guide for other crops).

Each crop has three levels to master. Each level requires a certain amount of harvested crops to complete. As with other crops, after mastering the flower crop, you receive a special sign to place on your farm and unlock the premium flower crop (which gives you more money and XP. Not to mention, it looks much larger when fully grown.)

Here are the flower crops and how many harvest needed to complete each level.

Daffodils (2 day harvest time)
Level 1: 250
Level 2: 188
Level 3: 328

Morning Glory (12 hour harvest time)
Level 1: 500
Level 2: 1000
Level 3: 1500

Red Tulips (1 day harvest time)
Level 1: 500
Level 2: 1000
Level 3: 1500

Pink Roses (2 day harvest time)
Level 1: 450
Level 2: 388
Level 3: 590

Sunflowers (1 day harvest time)
Level 1: 575
Level 2: 1150
Level 3: 1725

Lavender (2 day harvest time)
Level 1: 450
Level 2: 388
Level 3: 590

Lilies (1 day harvest time)
Level 1: 500
Level 2: 1000
Level 3: 1500

Special flower crops for events typically don't have mastery in place, however, this could change in the future. In the past, these special flower crops included Forget Me Nots (Yukon event), Yellow Roses, White Roses and Fire & Ice Roses-all for Valentine's Day. If mastering crops is a big game play draw for you, consider not planting the special, non mastery crops and concentrate on mastering the regular crops instead. The limited edition crops do give more XP-keep that in mind especially if your goal is to level up quickly.

As you can see, the shorter the harvest time, the more crops you need to harvest to complete each level. Also, with the crops with longer (2+ days) harvest time, the number of crops needed for each level DECREASES as you progress through the three levels. This isn't the case with the short (1 day or less) harvest time crops.

Good luck in Farmville and happy crop mastering!
