Farmville Strategy Guide for the Fun Facebook Application

How to Run a Succesful and Profitable Farm in Farmville

Lainie
Farmville is now one of the most played games right now on Facebook. I'm truly amazed at how quickly it has become popular and all the improvements and additions that have been made recently. I've been playing it for a while. Here are some awesome tips to be the highest and most profitable neighbor.

Log in every day. For every day you play, you automatically are awarded coins ranging from 10-100 in the "daily raffle". Make sure you pay attention to your neighbors. Visit their farms and help them out. This is not only a great way to gain experience points (5 points per visit), but you also get coins to do so!

Buying buildings are a great way to quickly get experience points and a lot of the things you buy will be very useful in running a more productive farm. For example, the dairy farm is excellent. It lets you store 20 cows inside at once. Not only does this save room on your farm for other items, but you can collect all their milk at the same time!

Choose to plant seeds that turn a large profit. Consider the price of the seeds versus the money you'll earn after you harvest them. To calculate the return of investment subtract the cost of the seed from the profit after the harvest, then divide that number from the actual cost. The higher the value, the higher the more profitable. As you gain levels, you'll gain access to better, more profitable seeds.

Try to plant crops that will be ready according to your schedule. Different crops take different amounts of time to grow. The great thing about the game is you really don't have to be around much to be successful. If you're going to be around in four hours, plant those. If you won't make it back for four days, plant those seeds. This way, you won't lose money. Crops wither if you're not there to harvest them.

Add trees and animals to your farm. This is a great investment because you never have to replenish them and you don't have to be around to take care of them either. Your crops may wither, but your trees don't and your cows won't lose their milk.

For faster harvesting, block in your farmer. The bigger your farm is, the longer it takes to harvest. Build a fence around your farmer. When you do this, you can harvest your crops just by clicking on them, which takes a lot less longer than waiting for your farmer to do it.

Of course, the best part about Farmville is trying out different landscapes and decorating it just the way you like it. Be sure to visit your friend's farms and leave them signs on their farms to read when they return!
